You're on. I'm back to work on Monday so I'll have a look at the remote one that sometimes turns up trumps, if not, I'd love an assist.

No. Tried three out of four shops so far, only thing I've seen is a single £13 Marinus set. Last one tomorrow, but that's the one I visit most often and they never had the Five Doctors set in the first place. I will very probably need an assist!

Complete B&M failure. Agent Burns must be activated!
If you get a chance to look in B&M, I'd very much like a Five Doctors set. Infact, if they're sale price, could you look for both versions? I need the Cyberleader as that's a new variant, but I wouldn't mind betting there are paint differences in the standard Cyberman version to the previous releases of that figure and it wouldn't hurt to have another one for troop building purposes.

I was thinking that the Silurian set means the Sea Devil body is back out of storage and we're about to get a TV story featuring them. I wonder if one of the B&M sets this year will be two Sea Devils with AN Other character to make a three pack like the Marinus/Sensorites/Earthshock ones. I'd say that was a dead cert, but would Character have known about the return of the Sea Devils this year early enough to have been able to do that? We only knew they were coming back on January 1st.
The Third Doctor that would go in a Sea Devils set was the original Pertwee toy released way back in October 2009, and is incidentally the one that was used for the Five Doctors set (with a changed shirt - taken from the regeneration Tom Baker figure), so in terms of pulling moulds out of storage, a re-release of the original Pertwee/Sea Devil figures seems a really easy option. Too easy maybe, there isn't a lot that can be repainted/moulded with those to make them interesting for people with the originals. Character seem to keep upping the amount of remoulded pieces with these new B&M sets to make new figures.

Hurrah for RalphPost! The Five Doctors Sets are here!
No more B&M searching woes for Pinwig... until the next round of B&M searching woes for Pinwig!
Ooh, exciting. Now I need to dig out the 2017 monster set and see if this Cybertrooper is the same.

Pretty much, but the 2017 one has solid silver tubes coming down from the sides of his head and the new one has transparent ones like the older Earthshock figure. Marginal difference in the paint wash on the body but not really enough to say it's deliberately different.
The thing I hadn't spotted from pictures is that the Raston robot and Earthshock androids actually have different heads. They look the same, but they're totally different pieces.

If you had to be a Doctor Who villain, there are worse choices I suppose. I mean, I'd rather be a Cyberman than a Rutan.
Good question actually, if you had to be a Doctor Who monster, which one would you be?
I might go Draconian.

A Facebook leak from the same source as the one this time last year has led to B&M confirming the themes for this year's figure sets: merchandise.thedoctorwhosite.co.uk/bm-2022-doctor-who-sets/1st Wave Mid-late 2022 8th Doctor 3 Figure Set 10th Doctor 3 Figure Set Dalek Packs (Presumably History of the Daleks Sets) 2nd Wave late 2022 9th Doctor 3 Figure Set 13th Doctor 3 Figure Set Davros and Dalek Set 1st Doctor Electronic Tardis set Dalek Packs (Presumably History of the Daleks Sets) Sets are now £21.99. Same arrangement as the 2021 sets. Much harder to guess what the figures might be though but presumably there will be the same level of mould reuse, so maybe the 13th set will be a Sea Devils one.
Can't help but feel a little disappointed the classic stuff is just Daleks and another Hartnell TARDIS this year, plus an 8th doc set, but at the same time some relief as new series figures are always optional in my collection so less pressure to find them. I don't think these will be scalped as badly as the previous sets.
Still, a 1st doc TARDIS for Ralph, undoubtedly a repaint of the last one. Should have been McGann though.

I am intrigued about the 8th Doctor set. Audio companions? Ewic Roberts Master?
Electronic TARDIS an online exclusive?

No, these are all the B&M ones. I would guess the TARDIS is a reuse of last year's with the electronics put back in. Repaint. It had a lot of new moulding so it would need to come out again.
Really hope CO do more exclusives from the classic series.
Post on GB says Al Dewar was on a podcast last year talking about how he had a plan for reissuing the NOTD McGann figure so it might be that one.

Indeed. The question is, if it's a three pack, who is in there with him? You could have a guess at a dark haired Hurt repaint if it's a NotD set. McGann has had a fair number of figures given he only had one TV episode. I can't think what they could do that would make a new one any different.

If it's based off an audio story he could be wearing something different.
Or he could be in one of his usual costumes but with 'battle damage' deco on it.
Or go completely mad and do him as 'naked man covered only with a sheet in a morgue'.
