I couldn't bring myself to buy a tabloid paper so passed on the figure.
I do, however, plan to pick up some Non-LEGO Who the other side of payday!

But if anyone had spares of the mirror figures I'm sure you could give them a good home?

Saw an Eternal Dalek from TOMORROWS paper already on ebay...! Methinks I'll still go and buy a paper tomorrow and get it cheapo. Bought the Tardis and Dalek Progenitor sets off ebay too. Incidentally, these are all made by Cobi who do the Best Lock range...I recognised the fuel cans from that range as they are also in their HM Armed Forces stuff too. I expect these two licences will enable Cobi to become an even bigger player and they will probably market the body type for these two ranges into their main Best Lock ranges.

There's sets of all three up on eBay. They're probably walking out the back door of a TRU/Sainsburys somewhere. They're not Cobi who I believe made those BSG Lego KOs I spotted a few months back, they're Character Building, a new construction brick arm of Character Options who own the HM Armed Forces stuff and are the master license holder for Doctor Who toys. But I can see how the confusion could arrise. (unless there's some behind the scenes link which I'm unaware of, in which case enlighten me)

Grabbed todays edition of The Mirror. It is possible I could just grab all the figures on Wednesday rather than send the cuttings over. Will grab extra Monday edition for you tomorrow Phil

They're actually Character and Cobi. All the manufacturer details - address, website etc on the packaging are Character but if you look at the playset boxes you'll see that they have both companies' logos; they're also sealed with Cobi tape. What the business relationship is, I've no idea.

Ha ha. Nigel pipped me to the corrective post! Its obvious Cobi make them for Character, who probably designed the look of the figures for both HM Armed Forces and DR WHO lines.

I stand corrected, well spotted gents. It was easy for me: the outer cases have a big Cobi logo on them. It's the only place where Character is less prominent, just their name at the foot of a label. Oh, and I just came back from Toys 'R' Us with my Dalek.

I got mine completely FREE. The numpty at Sainsburys forgot to charge the paper when I got my fags as well. RESULT!!!!
Tried to get another Dalek but they were strict on the one only basis. How you guys got 2 and 4 apiece is irksome as I know its possible....
Payres, yuck at 'Miss Filth', whats so special about her? So shes a bit pretty...but all she is is the making of a middle aged man (Moffats) perv fantasies...all she does is stare bug eyed and all the innuendo she waffles on with is a bit yawnsome. Also, if I were Rory I'd tell such a woman to naff off as a) her character is bossy and b) she clearly fancies the Doctor and he's simply made out to feel second rate....Amy bloody Pond....grrr.

There are some sets of the Mirror figures on eBay for a £5 bin with free postage Very mercenary of some folk even at that price. They are meant to be freebies with the paper. BUT saying that I did get mine for FREE without paying....

Was able to grab all three of the Mirror freebie mini figures this morning, thank god for cashiers who just don't care enough to only provide the one for the day.
I might try my luck for extra later. An army of Daleks sounds appealing. AS long as they are tiny toys and not monstrous alien killing machines out to get me.

Picked up some extras, the people at my Sainsbury locals aren't even taking the vouchers so I will be returning tonight to use them.
I now have multiple Ponds.
Pond 1 is getting to know Erector and Blesser. While Red Alert lies down with Cadbury Buttons Chick. I need to clean the desk up.

We only have so many (about 30 - 50) because Sainsabury bought out Jacksons a local chain based here in Hull about 7 years ago.
Are you after a set?

I grabbed an extra packet and got a Cyberman. If I did'nt know any better, I'd say the legs on it are a repaint of the Doctors trousers and shoes.

Picked up some extras, the people at my Sainsbury locals aren't even taking the vouchers so I will be returning tonight to use them. Locals seem better than the main branches. We've got a Tesco Local down the road that'll generally give you a week's worth of DVDs when the papers have got those offers on.
