Nice to see that CB are continuing their suicidal tendancies of rereleasing exactly the same figures with minimal or zero tweaks each time.

That packaging is going to be a lot more inconvenient to dispose of than the old-poly bags. Not that this is an issue for me - a blind boxed wave with older figures in increases the chance of me getting something unwanted to a level where it is easier to just not bother buying them.

They're still trying to hawk this stuff? My guess is a mountain of unsold stock they're repackaging in an attempt to shift it.

They're still trying to hawk this stuff? My guess is a mountain of unsold stock they're repackaging in an attempt to shift it. It must be! They must have just made a million of the same mold imaginging people would blindly buy them. Its a shame, as lots of them are nice. Some of the repaints in the new 11 Doctor set are appealing... and then others are /identical/ to the last set. What are they thinking! Everyone in that set should be a repaint. And why offer identical figures in the bigger packs and blindbags. Repainting should be easy and cheap!

Looks to me like the new packaging is meant to get rid of the people who feel out whats inside the package before they buy. If they have excess stock, they should send them here. CB is already selling friggin' Scooby Doo here. Give us our timelord fix, too!

It deprived them of one buy in the Burger FP today that's for sure!

I felt your pain all the way from Birmingham.
Partly because you sent me a text about it.

I bought one of the CB Football figures in the new display case packs and was pretty impressed. I think I'll get some of that Doctor Who wave for the display bricks alone to keep for the figures I like.

Ew! What hideous colours on the Zygon! But, I spy Looney Tunes in the stack of display boxes.

Selling blind-bag figures in unfeelable blocks is a sure way to self-destruct a toy line.

Oh dear. That Zygon is a mess. Like the War Doctor! I'm happy with the blocks in the short term for display purposes, but army building Daleks is made more difficult

Considering how Character managed to piss away their CB DW line spectacularly it's not really a surprise.

The block packaged stuff is in ASDA, but all indications are they've lost that license recently given Lego is allowing DW Carusso

Forgot about those. Hope their release doesn't take ages, like series 3 did. I bet it does! Honestly I feel like CO has mismanged it so badly with the huge delays and ridiculous repeated releases of exactly the same figures. It started so well and with so much goodwill, but 80,000 near-identical Matt Smith figures later... I mean wow. Take a leaf from Lego's book. Add value by repainting the minifigs. People snap that sort of stuff up! Don't just package the same identical figures with /everything/.

I love my Dalek army though. -Ralph All I can think is that they over produced series 1 massively and were left with so much stock they needed to keep packing the exact same figures in everything. But by all accounts it sold so well, and there were lots of giveaways too, I can't imagine that could be the case unless they accidentally made a billion Matt Smiths.
