I have to admit that in the lengthy delay I have completely lost interest.

I thought it would have made better sense to release those 2011 series characters in Spring 2013 like they planned to.
Glad to hear they are out finally.

I have to admit that in the lengthy delay I have completely lost interest. -Ralph Minor relapse when I saw the 'Temporal Blast' sets in Home Bargains for £2 and saw one had the orange Dalek (previously only available with the Dalek Factory) and had to have it. It had been a year! But I can stop at #102. £2 for the Dalek is fine. The original RRP of £8 for these sets is absurd though. The 'temporal blast' bits are absolute garbage however and no way were worth the £6 higher price over the blind-packed minifigs. -Ralph

Got the Dalek as well, I kind of like the temporal blast thing as a tiny little display case, but yeah the original price was daft.

Been out and about today. TRU & ASDA. Which leads me to ask has Anyone seen S3 in the real world yet?

Nope but considering most places still have plenty of series 2 I'm not really expecting to either.

I wonder if CB got together with an american toy company (That does not have it's own lego line) to distribute their product over here, if the increased sales from an untapped market would help encourage them to put out newer product at a faster rate.

I guess it will happen eventually if its popularity continues. Although I do wonder what the make up of its fan base is over there. Here at its heart its still a kids show, but is that how it is in the US or is it an adult scifi show?

John Lewis had all the DW CB stuff on clearance today. Looks like they're getting shot of the whole lot.

I guess it will happen eventually if its popularity continues. Although I do wonder what the make up of its fan base is over there. Here at its heart its still a kids show, but is that how it is in the US or is it an adult scifi show? I know it's always been popular over there, but Doctor Who has really blown up over here. It is now *the* central Scifi franchise. It's popular enough that Starz invested in Torchwood, after all. It's still not as well known to the general public as Star Trek, but then it hasn't had the same exposure over here. But I'd say it's replaced Stargate, and Battlestar Galactica as the go-to scifi series mainstay. Where as previously Doctor Who was fringe scifi, only the geekiest nerds knew anything about, it's now the main one. People are drawn in by the new series, then they start getting into and wanting to watch the pre-Eccleston series. And they aren't being turned off by the uber hokey low budget effects like they used to be. On a side note, to answer your other musing... a lot of people over here can't believe it's ever considered a kid's show, anywhere. (But then, americans generally have very low opinions on the intellegence of children. This mindset is why non-CG animated features don't do well over here. If it's cell animated It's "a kiddie movie." Reguardless of what it is or about) The hardcore fans know this fact, but usually newcombers and non-fans find it hard to believe.

Been out and about today. TRU & ASDA. Which leads me to ask has Anyone seen S3 in the real world yet? Not seen it in ASDA, Tesco, Sainsburys, Smyths, Toys Galore or TRU. If it's out, no-one is stocking it in Edinburger. I just see previous CB stuff now being clearanced in various places after shelfwarming. -Ralph

103 DALEKS IS NOT ENOUGH!

Came out several months ago along with the Silent Time Machine and a few smaller setts. All of which stiffed at retail round my way.

F***ing load of w**king f***ery!
As you can tell Phil is building his CB Dalek Saucer.
First I'm a Dalek short. Grrrrrr.
I've not even reached the end of the first page and it's already disintegrated several times.
More swearing later. And now my arms are killing me.

Still not seen any wave 3 minifigs since the one sighting on December 13th. Cb have proper fooked this line. I'll be astounded if there is any new product for it this year.

I did get one of the rare River Songs from series 2 as part of Operation: Kaptain Needs Rivers but kept that one as the base was shiny.

Rares and chases are good... but they have to be at least one each per case. Otherwise it's just idiotic.

Compare with 12 plays 16 figures. Uh oh does that mean the helmeted Sontaran, helmeted Judoon, Dalek Sec & the new Silent are chase figures? Here's the original line up. So we've lost what.....
