Yup. I am patiently waiting for that set to go on sale. They can go with Dead Prime on a shelf. -Ralph You sick bastard.

How you going to buy the Ratchet/Brawn box next year if you don't have these two? I am so certain there will be a Dead 2-pack of these that I will skip the regular versions! I need a full Death Shuttle scene diarama! -Ralph

The thing that annoys me about the dead versions is that those are the ones with the stripes down the side of the van modes. Very annoying.

It's how they get double-dippers.
These are the Dib Dabs of Transformers.

First ever experience of BW Primal and Megatron this evening. Kind of blown away!
I mean, it's not like people haven't been telling me for years how good OP is, but it's still kind of incredible to experience how much they crammed into that toy in person.
I didn't have much of a preconception about Megatron. He's not as packed as Prime, but he looks great and that's a fascinating transformation. I had no idea!
Also both such chunky, hefty toys. Love them.

Both so so good. That Primal, or rather the original release, was the toy that got me back into TF Collecting

I was surprised to find out that I liked Optimus Primal when I got hold of it, but I was. Megatron I am unsatisfied with. I hate his lack of hands.
Got an Octopunch this week. Impressed with it, despite its obvious limitations.

G1 TM Sureshot. Never owned an unbroken one before. Quite nice, especially at the price I paid.

G1 Catilla and Rippersnapper I kept from a lot I bought, because I didn't currently have those toys and I wanted to play with them.

SS Mirage is a disaster of a toy. A bits-dropping-off, unstable, panel-alignment transformation nightmare. And it doesn't even roll.
Tempted me in with what looked like two attractive modes, including a nice-looking licensed Porsche, but the figure in the plastic is practically a different toy to the renders and reminds me why I swore off the movie SS figures. Looks kind of okay in robot mode, but is near-unposeable with bits getting in the way of other bits, and the vehicle mode does not reward the pain of transformation, the panels are just too obvious.
Worst Transformer I've handled in years, I think.

That’s very disappointing to hear - I was looking forward to getting that one, eventually.

Picked up the new Metalhawk and the Speedia Blurr because it was cheap. Metalhawk is a pretty crap tf in lots of ways but somehow really satisfies, whereas Blurr looks great but doesn't do it for me at all, I can see why it hasn't sold.

I DID receive my Studio Series '86 Ultra Magnus today, and I absolutely LOVE it! He has taken pride of place on my collection shelves, and my Kingdom WFC Ultra Magnus has gone into storage.
Anyone who hasn't got the Studio Series Magnus yet, you won't be disappointed. Going forward, IMHO I think he's now the standard for all Ultra Magnus figures that may come in the future.

Okay.
Absolutely no regrets on Frankentron.
It's just so dumb, and I adore it. The way his hands are on sideways so he can do the proper 'Arms out zombie walk' is fantastic. The tesla coil cannon thing (and bespoke blast effect) looks smart, and the robot face just looks so so sad. Fantastic.

I have not yet transformed Alpha Trion or Orion Pax. My mind doesn't like thinking of a cartoon Alpha Trion that actually transforms.
I've headcanoned the gun, but transforming? Nope.

I just opened all my Legacy Armada together. (Hot Shot, Starscream, Megatron and Optimus Prime, in that order.) It's a nice little group and it's nice to see a selection from a range other than the usual getting updates like this. (Even if they are still the usual characters - if Hot Shot is analagous to Bumblebee - but distinctly different.) I wouldn't say I have a favourite, as they're a strong group, but if pushed I'd say the cab portion of Optimus. I didn't realise Starscream came with the Starsaber, so that was a nice surprise, but they're all definitely in need of proper Mini-Cons. Speaking of which, I was reminded of the little Mini-Con prisons that came with the Panini comics - I haven't thought about them in years! Does anyone else's Starscream have rather a loose waist swivel?
This week, I've also opened all the Core Dinobots, which I'd been saving up to open together, though I haven't combined them yet.

I got a Bomb-burst - the new one. And its adorable. Honestly, it is such a lovely little toy. Worth a tenner of anyone's money. So much less disappointing than the new Skullgrin!
