I suspect they are cramming stuff on to shelves before retailers say no, we want movie toys.

I still don't think he looks quite right without the flamethrower on the shoulder. I associate that so much with Jazz that he just seems unfinished without it.

While I'm not sold on the orange head (I like it in theory, not in practise) the Takara version of Grapple wins soley due to the silver hook. I can't stand hooks done in coloured plastic, it looks so cheap to me Still unsure why they remolded his arms rather than something more noticable, but hey, I'm not complaining!

The arms are a big improvement to me. I wouldn't say Inferno looks bad but the arms are a bit too chuncky for my liking. The hands are even better and the arm needed remoulding to make them fit.
I think the arms might look good on Pyro. The yellow looks to be the same as the painted yellow or I could paint them gold.
Not sure about the head yet.

Generations is the black head, but also has the chromeless hook which does not look good.

It bothers me enough I'll liberally apply silver sharpie to the Gen version, not to pay the extra for the United version.

If it's a long hook, you could call it 'Long John Silver'.

Think I'll pass on Jazz. It looks wrong without a shoulder mounted weapon and the cartoon spunk speakers can fook right off.

The speakers don't have to be deployed, but they're annoying the hell out of me too.

I really dislike those speakers. They just look incredibly silly, and I am very much wedded to the idea that Jazz needs a weapon up on his shoulder so this version doesn't really do much for me at the moment. If I see it at retail I might be tempted but it isn't something I can see myself specifically seeking out at the moment.

I had Pretender and Actionmaster Jazz before getting Classic Jazz so aren't very attached to the shoulder weapon though I would have preferred it have the option rather than speakers. That aside Jazz is the first proper G1 update given the Generations treatment and I love the detail its gotten.

Yeah, the speakers will have to go soon as I get mine. I can see what they were trying to do, but it doesn't look good.

Ah ha no! No no no. You misunderstand me. This be the first new toy in the Generations line based on a G1 design. Along with Tracks and or Wheeljack. So far the others Dirge, Thrust, Bumblebee and red Alert are repaints of Classics or universe toys and blur is only a repaint of a Generation toy.
I'm excited about the increased articulation and detail of the Generations line being applied to an early G1 design. The fact its Jazz is an added bonus mind.

I can not remember which thread it was mentioned in that WFC Cliffjumpers head fitted the classics mould, but I just tried swapping Bumblebees heads and WFC bees head on the classic body looks great. So that will be 2 WFC Cliffjumpers for me. The classic head on the WFC figures looks rather poor.
