I just want to state that as far as I remember, the disc was treated with up most respect and it was fine last time I played it. There is but one explanation, but the implications terrify me.

I would hear these implications.
However, there was no Zardoz in Derby, but there was a Blu-Ray of Outland, another Sean Connery Sci-Fi flick I've always been intrigued by. At £15 it can go swing though.

It's very 'Brave New World' in places. There is a LOT going on. The themes get a little muddled, and it doesn't half bludgeon you over the head with them.
I can't decide if it could have done with some trimming or being made longer. Like a TV series or something.

Like, the Apathetics don't really add anything. They should have been cut or made into more of a thing, about how Zed can bring them back. That's hinted at in their first scene, but doesn't quite pay off, and by the finale, you can't tell them apart from the normal Eternals. Some visual identifiers would have helped there, like the renegades.
