Well, no, yeah, I get that. It's more the way the stuff happens in the film. And also the Wizard and the denizens of Oz weren't murdered by the Munchkins in the end of the film. Was that how it happened in the books?

I mean... the naked people in the head. were they always in there? If so why didn't the Connery people see them before, they've been putting grain in the Zardoz head for years. And if they did see them, why was Zed so surprised and interested in them?
Where did Zardoz get the guns? Most of the immortals had no idea what was going on in the wasteland. So who was making the guns? And why did no-one notice when the Immortals have an omnipresent supercomputer?
I do need to watch the commentary, but that won't be until tomorrow night at the earliest.

Finally giving the commentary a listen. It's worth it for little bits of production information such as the fact that some of the extras at the start had their Red-X costumes painted on to save cash and of course Boorman's pretty much spot on impression of Connery.
Then there are the choice quotes that out of context are gold-
"There are very few er, uh, actors that could have worn this costume, Sean has this amazing presence and amazing... body"
