The instability of the sub-prime mortgage market counts as 'unprecedented destruction'? I had no idea.

It's all true Nick, only the chosen few will be spared. I've just received email notification that i will indeed be saved. So...you'd probably be best just handing that TF collection to me now, so it'll be....um...safe.

I heartily recommend buying that WST Liokaiser, I had great fun figuring out how to transform him yesterday. Does anybody recognise the missile carrier robot that becomes his left arm?

It looks like Doubledealer in carrier mode, but I haven't seen the individual robot so I can't say for sure. Gav- ten out of ten for effort -Nick

You know, I'm picturing his transformation in my head, and his arms and shoulders do move in the same way as Doubledealer. Could be a derivitive.

There is a story in there somewhere - well one in my head anyway if I ever get tf time.
But yeah I've got the full sized and wst KOs of Liokaiser and they're both great. Never opened them though for fear of damage.

Its here! ;D
Its so purdy. Box is ok much like the avarage 20 year old box, except theres some damages at the bottom looks likethe box had been flattened at some point and something hot and circular placed on it, but its ok as the damage is over the Takara barcode bit and a little of the bottom of the box.
Inside though, inside. Its almost brand new looking. Odd little bits of wear on the stickers and thats about it. The Breast/beast bits make such a difference to the robot modes. I'd love to know what Hasbro were smoking when they decided to release these and the motavators.
Still not sure I should have bought it, but I'll enjoy it for a while before thinking of selling it on.

They're basically the only thing from Victory which doesn't excite me much. I don't know why, I feel like they should.

Poor quality plastic, pieces that don't fit right.... just inferior to the originals so I'm told.

I got 4 of the originals recently. I was surprised to like them as much as I did. I was thinking of picking up the reissues at some point, but maybe not worth it if they're that bad. Still might be worth it for the 2 missing figures and some of hte combiner parts.
Also slightly regretting not getting the Poundland oversized ones.

Forgot to say, for what it's worth I actually had 4 of the 6 MISB, from that legit Chinese release of the early 90's. I never even bothered to open them. Even now, Landcross is just an uninspiring Gestalt for me, too.

The oversized Poundland version is bloody amazing. Cheaply made, but stupidly big.

I have an original landcross at my parents' house + a couple of the KO versions. I can definitely see why the multiforce came in two-packs as the small robots by themselves are pretty uninspiring. I prefer Lancross to Devastator but he's not a patch on Liokaiser as a toy.

I never had the originals, but the reissues are good enough.
Just imagine if we got The Victory toys here in the west instead of Micromasters and more Pretenders! How would the Marvel comics storyline have turned out??

It would have turned out like the Hub's very own Continued Generatin 2, where Star Sabe was fleshed out as an immensely interesting character :-)

Ah, the Multiforce. I first encountered them when a friend of mine acquired them and the Brestforce whilst on a trip to Hong Kong.
I recall at the time liking the idea of the Multiforce better than the execution. This rather remains my opinion. The modularity and the various ways of combining the component members of the team is a very clever idea but in implementing it they do end up rather limited as individual toys.
I'd view them as an interesting and worthy experiment in doing something a little different, just one that suffers a bit from "prototype blues".

Energon had much the same problem, but they lost a large chunk of the articulation we'd come to expect. From the bits I have, I'd say multiforce got a touch more articulation than the average G1 bot of that size. So it wasn't a complete loss.

I've only really come across the Multiforce characters by means of watching the Victory cartoon. I've never really bothered to look out for them and, judging by the pictures provided by Phil I don't think I will ever want them in my TF collection.

I was disappointed by the re-issue. Great idea, but sadly let down by the execution.

Now we have Real Phil back, we can get to business. Namely, identifying if something is a micromaster. First off - LANDCROSS. tfwiki.net/wiki/Landcross_(Victory)The Victory combiner, Landcross is not a Micromaster combiner surely. OR IS HE? - The figures are small, but having never had one, I do not know if they are micromaster size?
- The 2004 reissue was released IN MICROMASTER BOXES
So vote, Hub. Is Landcross a Micromaster combiner?
