I feel that mine doesn't look this good. How very shiny. I can't work out if this is in a store or a show or what.
Nevermind, followed the tag. Damn that is some nice stuff.

Oh, Dinoking... Such a travesty that the Prime Wars were ended before you could be given the second coming that you so rightly deserve!

Possibly one figure where the Masterpiece surpasses the original. And not just for price and ease of availability. But mostly that.

Definitely. I still remember my first sight of this head transformation on Lightspeed, from the the Mr Motorvator sub-line in 1992, and it continues to be impressive.

No he doesn't. Photographs really well. I remember when Nick acquired a Galaxy Shuttle. We were both bitterly disappointed with it in-hand. -Ralph

So this is up on ebay. I think its a KO rather than a test shot but I am willing to be persuaded otherwise. What do you think? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/196421651310

the seller reckons it shows that even as late as producing test shots they weren;t sure what side it was one, but i am unconvinced. i wonder if it is still a brainmaster or whatever they were called... is there a chesty man involved? might ask the seller.

The Decepticon wing stickers suggest Knock Off? Plenty of Victory Sabre KOs out there but I've never seen one using Leozak Green/Blue before

Interesting to see where this ends up. Worth a punt for its current price but I expect it will go up if others think it's genuine

Man looking back at the start of this thread is wild. You'd kill to get a £250 Liokaiser - the individual limbs go for more than that these days. What a great investment.

Im so glad I didnt end up selling it. No way I would ever have been able to rebuy one in anything like the condition and completness. But I remember how freaked out I was at the time, I'd definitely got into that dangerous must win the auction frame of mind. I'd never spent more than £100 on a Transformer or if I had I'd only just started bumping over £100. (barring MP Megatron which Im sure was a screw up on the customs charge.) So £250 was insane. At the same time I was in the middle of the best paid job Ive ever had so was absolutely the time to be buying such things.

I guess its not entirely impossible, but it feels like a KO to me. The stickers especially. Andy Couzens actually had and sold the Star Saber sample Takara sent to Hasbro and its was the regular red and white release. I suppose they could have been considering a recoloured release like the other brainmasters and maybe of only the smaller figure and had Takara run a sample off in the new colours, but the overall quality doesnt seem quite there. It could just be lighting or something but the plastic on the chest looks slightly deformed, the sort of thing cheap plastic on KOs causes. And again those stickers look cheap and not really the style Hasbro or Takara were using at the time. Looks good to be fair, but not convinced by the back story. Edit: which is not to say they are lying, but Couzens repeatedly admitted to a poor memory of the period.
