Very nice. Even without combining, Brawl and Swindle look great. I think my strategy will have to be buy the set but keep them MOSC and wait and see what Takara-Tomy do. Would feel a fool if I opened them and then United versions came along with shininess and everything.

Love the TFW reaction from OMG best thing evar!!!!! to Ugh its not EXACTLY like the art work.
Personally looks good to me, but pretty sure the Bruticus photo is poorly posed and possibly mistransformed. Even if it isn't easily the best combiner for a decade. Proper hands finally. Hasbr o appear to have taken note.

Don't like the arms at all. They're the wrong colours for a start....

Blast Off's a bit... overdone, isn't he? Not what you'd call "aerodynamic". I like the others though. Vortex is very different coloured from his '86 appearance, but I can live with that.

Not entirely sure about the Vortex arm/gun combo thingie, but... yeah. I do like it. Vortex has a hand on his arm, see the inside of the leg here So that's an optional gun he's holding, looking like it's made up of the individual weapons ala Ruination

Vortex is looking a bit Beast Wars-y, I like it. Especially the alt-mode. Odd choice of colour scheme considering how G1-reminiscent so much of the overall Bruticus design is; I think the scheme works for that mould, but it's not very Vortex.
Pre-orders for this case are going to set new sell-out records, aren't they?

Assuming they're all in one case: I refer the honourable gentleman to the Energon limbs disaster. And the RID Combaticons come to think of it.

That looks rather nifty actually. I hope Blast-Off is mistransformed in arm mode though, otherwise crikey!
Not a huge fan of all the faux-bronze colours, I never think that works well, but here's to the inevitable repaint!

Ah, yes, good point. There do seem to be a lot of people assuming they are with no firm evidence. Getting carried away maybe - Hasbro seem to have learnt so many lessons with this Bruticus, surely they must have learnt that one too?
I would laugh if they were all in one case but one was shortpacked.

Blast Off's a bit... overdone, isn't he? Not what you'd call "aerodynamic". -Nick Like many of the non "real-ish" airborne modes in Transformers Blast Off suffers from taking the same approach of "no, I'm an aerodyne. Really, Honest" that the Leopard Dropship in Battletech does - invoking the rule that "anything will fly if you put enough thrust behind it" . (Most of the "futuristic" airborne modes tend to tread this path - with the original Cyclonus mold being a notable and welcome exception). But then, Brawl is apparently supposed to be a hovertank but lacks a skirt to keep his air-cushion in.... (They probably mean he is a grav-tank, which solves Blast Off's problem by implication, but opens up the question of why he would bother with a second mode in that case - as contra-grav technology basically means you could get pretty much anything at all to fly). As to the toys themselves I'm not terribly enthused by them to be honest. The only one whose vehicle mode does anything for me is Brawl and I'm not hugely enthused about the humanoid modes on any of them. I"m reserving judgement on the combined form in the hope that a slightly better photo helps it down the road, but from that image I don't really like the aesthetic of it at all (It is the way it combines I think, I prefer my combining mecha to look more like they fuse into one thing, than to be several things held together by long docking booms). Who knows, perhaps with a better photograph it will look better. Karl

Would be good if there's a Superion or Defensor to compliment this set.

Unlikely until Hasbro sees if something like this is financially viable in the current market.

You're definitely right guys. If Bruticus and whatever repaints after do well, we certainly cant rule out the possibility of other combiner sets. Bruticus is a good start.
I'd like to see Computron since the Technobots had Cybertronian/futuristic modes already. IIRC Hasbro still have all the copyrights to the team member names. It probably would be out of place though. Just a small pipe-dream.

You know I could see a Computon repaint of this down the line. New head on Onslaught & Bruticus, job done.

Even Defensor isnt totally out of the realm of possibility. Obviously another pre earth type set. The vehicle modes match up better than Computron as long as you can accept Grove as some kind of hover bike thing with huge rockets on the back.
Hasbro have been giving Protectorbots and Stunticons a bit of an airing in the last few years, even if its only been repaints they are back on the radar at least.

Years ago there were rumours that Computron was going to get a Beast Machines repaint as a Vehicon combiner. It was credible: the Seacons had been in BWII and the Combaticons were in Car Robots.

That would have been brilliant! The Maximals would have had to "Call all Primatives" to top that one! ===KEN

Was hoping to see Grimlock.
The Prime looks really good, but not much of a step up from the previous figure. Jazz and Shockwave to quote Regular Show OOOOOOoooooh! (That means good!)
