Trains booked for a reasonable £52 Friday-Monday. Hopefully Nick isn't sending too much.

Hmm my attendance now relies on me sorting out my employment woes; aside from the cost there are interviews for other things I might be able to apply for (it's still mysterious, it is not a helpful process) on the Friday/Monday

Wow it is 8 years since Nick first invited me to Scotcon, and I still haven't been able to attend one as everything goes wrong for me. One day I may actually be able to attend.

Excellent, as I last attended a meet up (though not sure if it was actually Scotcon or not) in 2003 I shall be popping along this year! Hurrah! Just let me know where and when closer to the time! Looking forward to it!

How many are coming? I need to know so I can start planning P.O.N.G.
Unlike the Yomtov Factor, the price will be specifically shit. Or will it? I may be lying. It may in fact be the greatest prize ever.

I'm buzzing about this - printed out B&B details, flights, buses for me and Tony - CANNOT WAIT!
If you are attending - prepare for man hugs.

I will be there in spirit. Also on Skype.
Andy K, I posted the box out at the beginning of last week. Customs permitting it should be with you in time.

There shall be double man hugs on your behalf Nick - I shall also smite all whom you command (self smiting can also be arranged - but it may take some time to reset the service following such activity).

There will be a jaunt to the Gorgie City Farm. There are two new especially entertaining pigs to be encountered.

I should be finishing work at 3.30pm ish on Friday (three days off, hurrah!), so if those folk coming up on Friday want to meet up I can arrange to be about?
Also, if anyone wants my mobile number for coordination on the day(s) then let me know and I shall drop thee a message.

Me and Tony arrive fairly late in Edinburgh (6.40pm), we'll probably go straight to B&B which is the St Valery, so hopefully not too far away from where folk will be?

Karl I'll take your number if you dont mind.
I arrive fairly early Friday, so will be checking into the hostel (which looks cool, so bound to disappoint) and probably heading to cinema to pass the afternoon.

I won't be about on the Friday, but will catch folk on the Saturday. Alas, Real Life business has prevented me from having time to put together a fiendish quiz type challenge or to do a Yomtov Factor. We'll have to look towards Nick for such torment.

Speaking of Saturday... Do we wish to agree a suitable time/location to rendezvous and combine our forces come the day itself? (I'm easy-osey as to when and where we set, as long as I know I should rise Up From The Depths (slightly less than thirty stories high...) and stomp my way to the Edinburgh Train.

I'm supposed to arrive at Haymarket 16:17 tomorrow and checking into the same hotel as Marc and Tony. Feel free to ask for my room number and knock on the door in case I'm in, guys! But hopefully I'll be with Karl and others in a pub.
Due to the heavy rain, trains may be disrupted, so it would be good to know what pub (on what road) we'll be in tomorrow night, and the arrangements for meeting on Saturday, and any mobile numbers. (I don't have one myself but public phones still exist.)
Really looking forward to it - need some time away from work.
Cheers

I'll pm folks my mobile later.
Will be at work till 1745 but will pop along later on Friday night. Friday, I suggest maccowans at Fountainbridge as a base.
Saturday 11am at Haymarket station would be a sound plan for meeting up. We can then corall folks as and when they come in.

Can you find your way here from the station? Martin
