Some underwhelming performances across the board.
Belgium need a decent manager, with the players at their disposal they should have done much better. Italy, did well given their aging and sub-par squad compared to recent years. Germany just look a little broken now, they should have won the thing looking at the team on paper. France.. a good team when they turn up, but last night they didn't really. Pogba was MIA for most of the game.
I agree the 3rd place thing was nonsense.

I enjoyed the tournament very much. Apart from England of course. I didn't mind at all that Portugal won. I didn't really mind who would win before the match. Possibly wanted France to win slightly more, because of everything they've been through. But, I found myself pleased that Portugal had won in the the end. They were far from the greatest Portugal team ever, and indeed far from being a great team, but as a footballing nation Portugal have always punched above their weight, and I think as a footballing nation they deserve a big trophy.

I have a dislike of Portugal's national team as they seem to appeal at every opportunity and do childish things like throw/kick the ball away from throw in spots. Ball goes out, Portugal want the throw in, man falls over, free kick/penalty please, card given, gesture or get in ref's face, offside, look at linesman. They've been like this for years and Ronaldo is one of the worst offenders.

Oh what a day to not be a Celtic fan.
Getting beat by a team from Gibraltar.
Most amusing.

Hull City, current premier league leaders.
Just wanted to type that while it's true.
I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the fact for the next 15 minutes or so.

It was a bit of a shock to be certain, especially given the behind the scenes stuff going on.

Well, ROoney finally dropped from England's starting eleven - and not before time.
Scotland have made a pigs ear of it thanks to Strachan who selected the wrong team at home to a team we aimed to beat and we paid the price. Sadly it needs us to wash out of the qualifiers before he leaves. Which I think will happen given his track record of walking away when things get tough.

And the SPL kicked off yesterday and Rangers season gets underway today. I'm waiting in for a delivery so will watch it on Sky.
I just hope we managed to claw back some of the gap between us and Celtic this year. Though I have my doubts.

Should never have lost that goal, Foderingham should have claimed it.
Need a decent poacher to convert those chances, but looked better than the tail end of last season.

Hull got a point away from home. Already improving on last season.
And our new manager is wonderfully odd. This season might not be a complete disaster.

If we dont loose anyone else, maybe. Only 3 players starting yesterday played the last game of last season. The other 8 have all left I think.
Plus we still have Mason, fullback whose name I cant begin to spell and Keane to come back. So yeah maybe.

Yeah, hes making me not miss Silva which is a huge achievement.
My brother met him at signing and said he seems really nice.
I only caught a bit of the second half, but they seemed okay.

Hernandez did really well last time in the Championship and the hope is Campbell rediscovers his championship goal scoring form of 10 years ago that got City promoted the first time.

u mean me or boga we both had shocking nights! was never a red card for mane in a million years, Boga. Sorry it was a red card. The fact there was no intent was irrelevant, dangerous play and leading with his studs. The ref made the correct call. Andy

Not my favourite weekend of sport, Hull and Liverpool crushed 5-0 a piece. The Hull game was ridiculous, they deserved to win even though they werent that much better, but not 5-0, every shot of theirs seemed to go in.
I slept through the Liverpool game thankfully.
Even my fantasy team let me down. Or I let it down as I took Kanes captaincy and gave it to Mr "One Point" Saleh.

my issue with the red card was that the keeper ducked into it, theres been a similar incident in the Swansea Newcastle game and not even a free kick given in the box.

So England get a not too bad World Cup Group. Belgium, Tunisia and Panama. No way not to get out of the group stages there.
