As a slight tease I'll tell you that week 14, the last of our vehicle themed weeks, might be stretching the definition of vehicle a tinsy bit. They'll be pilots involved so they count ;-).
And I'm expecting most of you to have some opinions and input into this on too!

Week 14: Zoids
Any era, any type, mix and match.
It'll be a "several lists" week for me!

I am going to need some time to narrow this one down I think. I mean, a top five... So many choices! Bu yes, I did have an inkling of what you were hinting at.

I'm going to do this by size (small wind up, large wind up, smaller motorised, large motorised, blox) and then try to sort a masterlist out at the end so why don't you do the same? For anyone else needing help zoids.wikia.com/wiki/Zoids_Toy_Lines for the various lines but I guess zoids.wikia.com/wiki/OER_Zoids and zoids.wikia.com/wiki/NJR_Zoids will be the most familiar to people here.

ZOIDS!!!!!!
My brother and I had a respectable selection as children. Brilliant toys, and brilliant comic (I still have my comics!).
My list is combination of favourite toy and favourite character based on the comic. I originally got the comic from issue 15 because that's where the cancelled Star Wars comic had moved. But I quickly fell in love with the Zoids.
1 Zoidzilla. Had the toy. Huge, powerful and invincible! 2 Red Horn. Didn't have the toy but loved the character. 3 Gorgon. Always wanted one but never owned. Featured in one of my favourite stories in the comic where the goodies caprure him. 4 Trooper-Zoid. My first Zoid. 5 Slither-Zoid. My second Zoid, loved all his opening sections.

Here we go then Small Wing Up Zoids 1) Molga/Slitherzoid zoids.wikia.com/wiki/MolgaI hated this Zoid when I was younger. No cockpit, couldn't see any point to it. Then I saw one opened up. It's a fabulous toy, easily the best of the small wind ups. And it's got a fab add on! 2) Hammerock/Zor zoids.wikia.com/wiki/HammerockI never had any of the larger Zoids when I was younger. So when this came along, a pocket money sized version of Gore, the Lord Protector I lept on it. Love the way the helmet turns the cockpit (I always wondered why he had a Red Zoid style cockpit at the time) into the gorrilla head. Lots of weapon placement options. Fab. 3) Zunder/Zaton zoids.wikia.com/wiki/ZattonThe small Brachiosaur: I had one of these when I was younger and loved it. It's absence from the new releases pained me and I had to track one down..... 4) Geruder/Zunder zoids.wikia.com/wiki/GeruderI didn't have one of these but wanted one: Zaton & Zunder were after all paired in the comic. It's amazing how many common parts they have and yet are totally different toys! 5) Twinhorn zoids.wikia.com/wiki/TwinhornThe only non Euro release small Zoid in my top 5: lovely little piece of kit. You may notice all of these are, in Japan at least, red empire Zoids.... Runners up Malder/Slime zoids.wikia.com/wiki/Malder Snail Zoids, fantastic Helcat zoids.wikia.com/wiki/Helcat smaller Sabre Fang..... yet never been done in Sabre Fang colours Iguan/Zillon zoids.wikia.com/wiki/Iguan & Godos/Trooperzoid zoids.wikia.com/wiki/Godos Effectively the same toy, and both serving as small versions of a much larger Zoid (Deathsaurer & Zoidzilla/Gojulas) Killer Dome zoids.wikia.com/wiki/Killer_Dome The only new small Zoid I've listed. Fab motion and it combines with a larger Zoid.

Holy crap that armoured tortoise is awesome.
I remember Zanton and Zunder from the comic! Loved those guys. Scavenger was great too, and Mammoth. And Gore! Oh yeah.
Hell's Bells Zoids where/ARE brilliant.

Oh Zoids. I had a reasonable collection growing up, but my cousin had a huge collection, it seemed like he must have all of them up until the Zoids 2000 stuff. And because he was older and Zoids were delicate I rarely got to see them except from a distance. as a result even today I'm far more reverential of Zoids than any other toys. My own little collection of mostly Zoids 2 has beenon the same shelf for 20 odd years untouched despite various changes to the room. The Shelf itself has been moved 3 or 4 times but the Zoids remained in place on it even during transport. I should clean them. They may now be more dust than zoid now.
I think I technically own or at least can claim my cousins entire collection as it is in my Aunts loft but I have nowhere to put it so I keep hoping it doesnt get cleared out.
Of the small chaps 1 Zore is awesome 2 Scorpion zoid chap- one of mine still just about functional. 3 I cant remember off hand even made up names the one on four rubber rimmed wheels. 4 Zaton 5 Slitherzoid - Got it years after Zoids ended, either Mum had lost it one Christmas and found it years later or stumbled across it in the wild at random, I never opened it for some reason. It was probably competing with an Optimus Prime or Countdown and after a while I liked having an unbuilt zoid. When Zoids 2 came out I ended up picking up Slitherzoid at my local toy shop during its closing down sale, either as a homage to the original or because I was overloaded with clearance Transformers it again remained unbuilt. And I believe I ended up getting one of the more recent releases and again left in unopened just to complete the set.
Dammit I want a Dark Molga now!
Big Zoids, 1. Zoidzilla - Does it need explanation. I was so happy when I got the Zoids 2 release.
2. Red Horn - Actually got the original but my cousin bought it off me as he had broken his somehow, my brother got Kraak (big bird) and my cousin bought that too. I regretted it for some time and is one of the reasons I now claim ownership of his collection.
3. Bison chap. He has giant guns on his back for one thing. Mostly on the list because the first time I discovered the whole Japanese origin of Zoids was in a toy magazine that I bought because it had a feature on Botcon 97. In it was this little article about Zoids and the photo was of a bison with giant guns that I had never seen before. I eventually bought it from the Entertainer in 2005. ... And I havent built that one either.
4. Giant Zrk - Got on sale one day before a trip somewhere. Was very excited as it was the first and only big Zoid we got (that wasn't sold to family members using strong arm tactics)
I feel I'm forgetting one that should be in my top 5 but for now I'll put Gore in as its awesome.

Dispite the impression I might have given I did build most of the Zoids I own, right up to the line that supported the Chaotic century? cartoon, which I would still like to see the rest of if it has a proper ending.
