*bangs head on keyboard* nnnnjjjnjmbnnnm
I think the world is attempting to keep me away from masses of lego minifigures.
Or its just telling me that there is somewhere as inconvenient to reach as Hull. And attempting to reach one from the other is wrong.
Cant get there and back in a day thanks to bus replacements in fact cant get either way on the day if I want to spend any time at Lego show. Can get to Swindon cheap staying overnight in London or Birmingham, but the return doesnt work out nearly as cheap.
Will keep looking since I now have the time off work.

Is the difference in fares more than the cost of a night in a London hostel?
Actually, having spent a few days working out my cheapest route home for visits it wouldn't surprise me.

Can I confirm numbers for dinner each night? I think it's 2 Friday ? Sat and 3 Sunday Plan at the moment is chilli Friday night and ...... SAUSAGE CASSEROLE Saturday! Liz wishes it to be known that she's done her back in so may need some assistance in the Kitchen. Nick: remind us of the things you can't eat.

There are railway works that weekend, so the train between Cardiff and Swindon takes 2 hours rather than 1 (diverted via Gloucester rather than going through Bristol?). The 7.30 from Cardiff gets into Swindon at 9.23, I'll probably be on that one. On the way in I depart New St at 7.30, get to Gloucester at 8.20, leave at 8.33 and reach Swindon at 9.23. Nick/Martin you're on the same train down from Gloucs. You may want to negotiate meeting. I'll come and meet you at the station.

Nick, I'll be in coach A.
Phil, I'll be heading back after the show on the Saturday, so please give my regards and apologies to Liz. Hope she feels better soon.

I am in coach B. I'm sure we can figure something out.
Phil, as ever your hospitality is greatly appreciated. As ever also, I don't think there is anything I *can't* eat although I have been a horribly picky eater my entire life and it causes me no end of worry when I attend a meal at a friend or relative's house. My only real ethos is "the simpler the better". I had to pass up on lettuce (which I very much enjoy) in my lunchtime burrito in a university cafe because they insisted on putting chunks of tomato through it, the uncivilised fiends.
Anyway, please don't make any special arrangements just for me and please, PLEASE don't be offended if I don't eat very much. It's absolutely not a slight against Liz's renowned kitchen skills- it's just that my mum didn't wallop me enough as a child.

But I'm not sure if we'll want dinner anyway, as we won't want to stay too late as it's a two-hour drive. I'll get back to you on that. On the subject of food, what's the name of the pizza restaurant? We want to look up the menu.

WELL HELLO THERE...
Piccante £12.95 Spicy sausage, bacon, mushroom, chilli and mozzarella cheese.
I shall hopefully recognise Phil / Ralph / Andu from pics... Is the plan to meet outside, just inside or just bump into each other whilst exploring the show?

Meet outside - first there grabs us a place in the queue. I'll send you my mobile number. I'll be quite easy to spot as I'll have my walking frame with me. WELL HELLO THERE... Piccante £12.95 Spicy sausage, bacon, mushroom, chilli and mozzarella cheese. All correct, apart from the price. Which should be £6 if the offer is still on. But to be honest I'd pay full price this is good Pizza.

But to be honest I'd pay full price this is good Pizza. I can second that - they are marvelous pizza's, both in terms of flavour and in terms of size. One of the few places where a Pizza has managed to defeat me. I greatly regret that this weekend will not feature a Bottelino's Pizza for me. Karl

I have some clear perspex / mirrored display stands that my wife liberated from her retail store. Is anybody coming on Saturday interested? Free to a good home.

And I think I'm out of the lego fun. Went to use my train vouchers only to find a series of very different and all more expensive fairs than the websites have brought up despite no mention of them being online prices. The back up plan involved overnighting Friday and saturday it on megabus from Leeds to London which I wouldnt mind to much except for the long wait in Leeds to get to and from Hull.

Thanks for sorting it all out!
Why is parking £1 for 5 hours or £12 for all day? If parking is done on entry/exit, I'll have to drive in/out at lunch time.
