Apparently the Earthshock audiobook has Cyberman voices by Nichoplas Briggs..... except he's done them new series style. THIS IS WRONG AND IS NOT EXCELLENT NEWS! We need David Cyberleader Banks!

Leader, is this the emotion known as - Annoyance?
Yes.
Such voices would be.
Inferior.

I'm fine with that, I enjoy different interpretations of classic stories. If I wanted Earthshock with David Banks, well, the DVD is an arms reach away. Frankly the more the Target readings deviate from the TV series, the more interesting they are to me.

The review in DWM says there's some laughable moments where the voices deviate considerably from what the naration says they're doing.

here, here. It's an intrinsic part of the story here that it's those Cybermen invovled.

Sadly, they always seem to put these on just the wrong side of payday for me. Otherwise I might have gone for some of those. Ah well.

Burns is pleased to read in this month's Big Finish promo rag that Jago & Litefoot has been commissioned through to series 7. Hurray! Series 4 out this month! Hurray! Not bad for something that was a spin-off of one of the Companion Chronicles stories.
PROFESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

T'will do them good to have a bit of a refresh of their web-presence. As you say, it is somewhat behind the tech curve - which is quaint but not ideal from a business point of view.
On the new companion front, I am pleased that once again it is someone I have never heard of. I quite like having no expectations one way or another about what we are getting.

Just reupped my subscriptions for Big Finish's main Doctor Who range and for the Companion Chronicles.
I quite like the new web-site, seems a little bit easier to work when it comes to taking out a sub - and as that is my primary method of doing business with them this works well for me.

Karl I did the very same thing last month. Hurray. Yeah, the new website is much more user-friendly. The search function now works and the user account download section is far better. I have been wanting to grab some more Dark Shadows and maybe try their Blake's 7 stuff, but that must wait until Real Life sorts itself out. -Ralph

Starting on Monday at 6.30, BBC Radio 4 Extra are playing the 7th Doctor Klein trilogy, well worth a listen if you've not heard it already!

It is bizarre that BF never promote when their stuff is on the radio. It's a gateway drug and great advert for their stuff. They were similarly quiet when a few McGann season 3 and some Peter Davidson stories aired. -Ralph

Listened to the first part of the Companion Chronicles story "The Selachian Gambit" this evening whilst doing the washing up... A story narrated by Frazer Hines and Anneke Wills of the Second Doctor, Ben, Polly and Jamie caught up in a bank heist by power-armoured shark-men.. exactly the sort of thing that makes me glad I subscribe to the range.
Episode two shall be saved for tomorrow evening methinks. Unless I crack and take my CD Player to work with me so I can listen to it during my commute.

I must remember to tell my sister that yon-English lass from Primeval is the new McGann companion. I think that will amuse her. Decided that I will save Death to the Daleks for the long weekend. Been feeling like it was time for a Dalek Story, may as well make it one I haven't seen for a while. Karl
