The way the episodes are listed on iPlayer shows they include all twelve. It's just episode 4 is in two parts.

The first episode of War Master 2 was exceptional. Looking forward to the next 3 episodes in this set.

I must get around to picking up some of the War Master stuff. I loved the first story that I got as a freebie from somewhere and I thought Jacobi was terrific in it.

I've got the first 4 I think and yes, all are good.
Just started The Time War 5: Cass - solid first story, but Jaye Griffiths was hamming it up something rotten throughout.

Listened to the Third Doctor 3.1 while working in the garden this morning. The Conquest of Far. Oddly a Dalek story set straight after Planet of the Daleks, but with chronologically earlier Daleks that haven't met Pertwee's Doctor before. Very good. Proper Pertwee feel. I always like these classic stories when the soundtracks sound like Dudley Simpson and this one is spot on. Nick Briggs also managed to do some Dalek voices other than his default three, which made a change.

Ta for the heads-up! There is some stuff there I haven't heard, as well as some stuff I have recommended to my sister (she's just finished S1 of Countermeasures, and I saw that The Assassination Game is up there, nicely timed for me to let her know earlier this evening!).
I think I may have my walk-back from campus listening sorted out for a little while with all that lot.

I rarely bother with the BBC Audio releases as I can barely keep up with the BF stuff as it is. However, I like quirky stuff so have procured the talking book versions of THE AMAZING WORLD OF DOCTOR WHO and THE MAKING OF DOCTOR WHO. Now to borrow Mrs Ralph's CD player*...
-Ralph
*I have no idea how to get and own digital copies of BBC Audio releases that aren't trapped within propietary players if you want to listen to them.

If you're lucky enough they turn up on the library Borrowbox app it'll give you MP3 files that can be kept after the loan is returned.

The vinyl edition of THE EDGE OF DESTRUCTION is here. Picture disc, with amazing art on both sides. Really lovely bit of tat. Gorgeous.
Lots of scalping on this Record Store Day 2024 with it going for stupid money on Ebay (I suspect vultures swooped due to DW's increased profile). Alas, not many folk are aware that participating RSD stores are allowed to put remaining stock online the following Monday evening so there is no need to pay over RRP.
Store I got it from had it £7 under RRP. Result!
And yes, I will be double-dipping with the general release cd edition.

A nice saving indeed! Lacking a record player these days I'm not going in on the vinyl myself, but nice to hear it is a good production.

I remember those early days of Big Finish fondly, building a CD collection of stories disc by disc. Not sure I need this though.

No, I think common sense has. There are still dozens of discs on lists I've yet to purchase to keep the sub-lines I want 100% complete.

I am still amazed the bubble hasn't burst yet as they are still ramming out so much product per month. Who can buy all this stuff?
I now just stick to 6th and 8th Doc for the most part for new releases other than specials and the odd sale

I think that's it, different people collect different lines. I tend to raid sales so I'm always behind, and these days there's the gamble that what I want may have gone out of print by the time I get a shot at it. Restoration was a worry, the CDs went on death row last March, but this weekend has been the first time it's been heavily reduced. I'm trying to get better at using the preorder discounts instead, but the gap between current releases and where I am is large. I'm aiming for a complete set of 3rd and 4th Doctor Adventures and Lost Stories. Then there's Blake's 7, Star Cops and I got all the Timeslip ones. Other bits and pieces too over the years.

Yeah, Blake's 7 is one I get on sales only. The quality is generally very high but it is a victim of BF's high output when it comes to me prioritising spending!
I had been waiting on Restoration dropping in price so I grabbed it.

I'm almost there with B7. Just missing the most recent three 'worlds of' I think. I was just looking for a timeline for that and considering a rewatch to slot in all the audios in the right places chronologically. Might be a season at a time project.

That sounds amazing! If I still lived in London I’d been putting everything into getting a ticket.
Great to see Alexander Macqueen’s Master back as well.

I did consider a London trip for this. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10am but 'pre-sale' was today if you registered. I checked 8 minutes after getting the pre-sale email link. Most of the seats were already gone so, er, nevermind.
Shenanigans*!

How many releases before BF give in to their obsession with having 'surprise' appearances of River Song, the Meddling Monk and/or Tennant?

Interesting. I wonder if they can do her justice like they gave Colin's Doctor a new lease of life.
I see these releases are in the single disc format as opposed to the usual three in a box. More money that way, but I liked the fact I had a new Star Cops episode each month for the first half of this year. Still, these are six a year, 1.12 out in May 2027!

THE TOM BAKER COLLECTION cd set has arrived. Essential as it has the previously not re-released first audiobook version of STATE OF DECAY. I recall the cassette fondly.
Presentation is very nice.

That State of Decay tape was something really special in the early 80s. Mine's in a box somewhere but I did do a transfer years ago.

I first came across an old copy of it in the Uni library in the mid-90's. Loved it (so this new release was a day 1 pre-order on cd after missing out on the vinyl edition).
It was my first exposure to State of Decay. I was terribly disappointed when I eventually saw the story (on VHS).

I got it out the library in the early 80s expecting it to be, like Genesis of the Daleks, the TV Soundtrack to a story I had not seen.
I was bitterly disappointed an it soured me to the story for many years
