Hi guys
As part of my Big Finish collecting I've been buying in lots, and have some spares. Does anyone fancy buying any of the below off me? All are second hand apart from Excelsis Dawns, which is still sealed. Lets say £5 each posted, or all four for £17. All are 2 CDs
Excelsis Dawns (5th) The Sandman (6th) Medicinal Purposes (6th) Faith Stealer (8th)

Big Finish for a Fiver have got some new stories up if anyone is interested. That's a story for £5 including p&p! £5 until March 31st are: The Council of Nicaea (I've got this one already, it is fab, I love the historicals!) Red Exotron Valhalla The Wishing Beast As well as the three stageplays. www.bigfinish.com/big-finish-for-a-fiverI'm going to pick up the four I've not heard yet, anyone heard them already and want to warn me off?

I've continued my Big Finish kick with the following:
The Wormery - Once I 'got' it, it was amazingly good Pier Pressure - I rather enjoyed it, apparently others did not. The Nowhere Place - Very enjoyable, mostly for THE BELLS and THE DOOR, I love spooky stuff like that The Condemned - Decent enough, it didn't feel like there was enough plot for four parts though. The Doomwood Curse - Bizarre 18th century fiction comes to life, just the sort of thing that presses my buttons Brotherhood of the Daleks - Communist Daleks high on drugs, the OTHER thing that presses my buttons! Return of the Krotons - Once the Krotons turn up, they go away again. Still, KROTONS.
I then have The Raincloud Man to listen to, and then a pile of 8th Doctor ones from Scherzo to Terror Firma (missing The Last though).
Any others I should keep an eye out for? I am finding them very relaxing to listen to whilst colouring, it helps all my senses keep busy! (That's why I seem to be ploughing through them quite fast!)

I highly, highly recommend the 3 Sara Kingdom Companion Chronicles audios. Haunting and weird and a great use of the format. Actually, all the 1st Doctor audios are tops.

I've finished the first Big Finish divirgent universe season. A curious mixture of excellent experimentationalism and some really run-of-the-mill stuff. Creed of the Kromon was... well... definately written by the guy who wrote Varos and Mindwarp! Also is it me or is C'Rizz the biggest non-character as a companion ever! I barely noticed he was there! EDIT: Also my big finish cd collection is so big it is teetering over

The Guardian is doing a promotion giving away the Hornet's Nest Tom Baker series that didn't impress Ralph last year. Visit www.audiogo.co.uk/doctorwho-hornetsnest and register an Audiogo account. The code for today's download, the Stuff Of Nightmares, is hs87ne701 h87ne701 The Download can then be found in your Download Library on the left side of the screen.

I never got past the first story. It was utter shit and I still resent wasting a tenner. I shall give the rest a try at £0.00 though. -Ralph

See here, here, here and here for contemporary reaction.

No problem. It may not be any good but a freebie is a freebie and we know what we're expecting.

The promo has worked in that I like the audiogo website. Handy download page in my account where I can download more than once (which I like as computer problems have wiped audio files in the past) plus downloads of Target readings and missing story soundtracks are staggeringly cheap. I had been planning to get The Edge of Destruction (just released). £5.49? I'll have that! Grabbed The Cybermen Target reading too.

EXCELENT! <clenches fist>
Who's reading it? I was tempted by Snowmen cos David Troughton did it and he does a fantastic impersonation of Dad.

I've finished listening to Hornet's Nest now. Part 1 was easily the worst, the rest was actually really good, imaginative, and the sort of surreal stuff I enjoy from Paul Magrs. It had me up till 2am to finish it all off
