I'd love it if next year we got news that the Blu-ray boxes sets for who were definitely extending back into the BW era, but also eventually forward into Eccleston. Nu Who needs a uniform collection with improved extras.

Most of the time I listen to remasters and either can't hear the difference or don't like them at all, but that's pretty good. It's added a little depth to the stereo and made the vocals cleaner and crisper - like that. I'll have to get the remixed album when it comes out, but it makes me wonder what's going on with this era in terms of the big boxed set releases if they're doing this album alone. Or is this just a random offshoot that'll be disowned as an extra when they get as far as the 'middle years'.

Sadly I think middle years is unlikely till one of David/Roger pops it. There's REASONS why it's taken FOUR YEARS for the 2018 mix of Animals to appear.
But yeah, that is a *REALLY* good remix. Always loved Dogs but that's just the right amount of polish rather than mucking about for mucking about's sake

Is that the same one that's been on before? I've got one sat on my Sky+ box from a little while back.

So much stuff these days I lose track. Is the video version in the blu-ray reissue set we all bought a couple of years back? If not, why not? Is it somewhere else?

This one surprised me as it had Shine On 1-5 in full and not just the start like the old VHS did.... which may say something about how often I've watched the BD

I think these things are often missing bits when they're on TV to preserve the value of the disc release. I remember BBC2 showed Bruce Dickinson's film 'Scream for me Sarajevo' and it was curiously missing fifteen minutes.

Which makes sense. But which is also in contrast to the Earl's Court concert, which in broadcast version actually has about a minute's extra guitar solo on Comfortably Numb compared to the same concert's Pulse release.

Got the Animals remix for Christmas. Since Liz was out this afternoon I took advantage and stuck it on. Superb. I like Animals anyway, especially Dogs, but this just fine tunes it nicely. Great piece of work.

I've listened to that several times on Spotify, but not 'properly' yet.

Bit of a missed opportunity to do the full concert considering the files are right there to use.

My daughter performed Another Brick in the Wall on electric guitar at her music school’s end of term concert this evening. A proud moment!

Booked to see the live stream of Roger Waters' This is not a Drill tour at the cinema. Set for blast off. Seats reclined. The cinema is being fed the ambient sound from the audience in Prague.

That was fab. 24 tracks, 17 of which were Floyd classics. Impressive stage show. That was something like the 76th date on this tour and the concert was almost three hours long. He's 80 in a few months!

I've totally lost track of all these releases now. So basically, if you put this release with the Live 1974 one, you get most of what was in that super-expensive DSOTM deluxe box thing that came out a while ago?
