Past experience has shown that FCBD at FPE is a damp squib. I see that Dunfermline's comic shop is participating so I shall take a wander through in the morning. See if they have the Tooth issue and give them some business.

Indeed. I'm keeping an eye on ebay, but if Browny does turn up a few 2000AD spares I'm definitely interested!

It's sad, but I'm finding it quite funny watching the auctions go up and disappear. So we're on 7.95 being the cheapest BIN so far, which go in seconds, and one being a bit optimistic with £15, which went down to £12.50 a few minutes later. I'm holding onto the fact that last year's is on there now for peanuts. If Browny can't get extra copies, then the prices will come down eventually.

Oh! Browny! You are a gem. That's two pints I owe you, and a big kiss. Fantastic!
Can I vote Browny in the Hub election?

Went to Little Shop of Heroes in Dunfermline. Their FCBD event was very friendly and welcoming. They explained the limit was 2 FCBD comics per person (or another one if you spent a tenner). This was politely explained so as to allow there to be enough stock for folk dropping in throughout the day. The shop is tiny (half a dozen folk in there and it's crowded) so I thought that was fair enough*. Decent selection to choose from. Fresh coffee was available outside for anyone who wanted it and Starbucks money off vouchers were given out. Pleasant staff.
Exactly how an event like that should be run. Bought ABC Warriors: Return to Robusters trade. Picked up the 2000AD, Star Trek and Doctor Who FCBD issues.

*On a previous year at FPE a free-for-all was allowed so all the FCBD issues were gone in 10 mins of the shop opening.

Amusingly, I can be seen on the shop's FB page outside but Andu appears to be invisible! Phil can make the picture appear by magic.

I've spotted him in both photos Can I make it quite clear this was a "get out of bed, come downstairs and put the laptop back on" job?

Gun Show Picard looks mean.
Enjoyed the Tooth issue and the Bongo comic was solid as always.

This was down to the Post Office thievery and them not believing you when it kept happening wasn't it?

Before I mostly bailed from single issue US comics they were my mail order shop of choice. A pile of comics did not arrive and after a wee while the cost was refunded. As I did not receive my order my Ebay feedback was neutral rather than positive or negative though I did write a polite and clear note to explain I received a refund. The shop then sent me several highly abusive messages of a personal and threatening nature because I had left neutral feedback. Due to the content of the messages, I forwarded them to Ebay's customer service dept to make a complaint about them as I was quite alarmed. The result was that the messages increased from the shop and I was banned from using their storefront. Ebay did nothing.
So I would never give APIS a single penny of my money in person or online anyway. Dreadful shop.
