Argh. I forgot about Electro. He takes Six Gun's spot.

I thought I would love Electron but when I had a shot of one it left me cold. Not sure why!

Probably because the robot isn't much more than a CW torso-bot. I just think the car mode is something way beyond what we usually get. Lots of lovely detail to make it accurate.

Week F: Top 5 Strongarm Toys 1. Energon Strongarm - he's... fine. I only bought him in the first place back in the day to fill out an order, and he did not escape the pre-Berlin purge. I have so far not owned an RID Strongarm toy, though the TAV version looks nice. Wouldn't object to her being imported into G1 continuity and getting a toy in the WFC line at some point, she's a good character, but I doubt it would happen.

I used to have Energon Strongarm. Liked it. Not bothered with the new ones as they look rubbish.

Hmm. Not as many Strongarm characters as I thought - but then I did always get them mixed up with the Longarms.
Don't own many of the RID ones so:
5) The Omnicon (but only because there isn't much choice) Pretty boring toy really. 4) Crash Combiner RID15 3) The Minicon - nice different transformation. I think I own a white version of this. 2) Warrior RID15. Strongarm does deserve praise for not having the sexist 'female body' of a lot of girl robots (and I refuse to use the term 'Fembot' Puttup!) Don't own this toy, but might do one day. 1) One Step changer - the one that does the spinning transformation. A birthday present from my daughter.

Shamefully I only have one Strongarm toy - but that's mostly because a lot of her toys all look terrible. Point in fact: The only Strongarm toy I have is the Crash Combiners one, and that's terrible. I had been meaning to pick up a Warrior class version, but never found one at a price I was willing to pay (i.e. not full). Still, I'll peruse the list and see if any of them might have any merit...

The warrior is the best of the early RiD waves but can't stand up against the later stuff like Bisk. RiD took a while to get going with the toys and it feels to me now like a prototype for Cyberverse. Everything RiD tried to do seems to have been done better with Cyberverse.
Infact if you go right back to Prime you can see a real evolution from something that started pretty much as stylised generations toys to Cyberverse now which has its own separate identity.

One of the core cast of the 2015 RiD series. Good character. By the book police cadet type who sparks against Sideswipe's recklessness. Probably the most well written female Transformer. Of course for the purposes of this top five, other Strongarms are available.

I know nothing about RID Strongarm character as I was not watching the show. Now I remember, I do have the Crash Combiner. It's rubbish.

The warrior is the best of the early RiD waves but can't stand up against the later stuff like Bisk. Yeah, I think the thing with her was that the first Warrior I bought was, of course, Optimus Prime, and he was... okay. But enough for me to not bother thinking about the rest of the line until I later watched the show, and figures like Bisk appeared.

My first one was Grimlock, which is okayish but mine had a moulding error with the joint in his elbow that meant his forearm just flopped around.
The real crime in that wave was Steeljaw. Truly awful figure that couldn't stand up properly.

I have not owned a single one. Many have looked appealing, but they've always seemed overpriced to me (€25 for a Warrior, €30 for a Deluxe...) and I've never seen them on offer.

1. Scraplet
aaaand I'm out.
edit: oh no, wait a minute. I bought the first Shockwave they did before we knew about the Siege one. So memorable I'd completely forgotten it.
