Recently I needed to find a particular article in the Transformers: Generations book series..... and I couldn't remember which book it was in.

So I thought someone should write a guide
So I did.

Which one is it that has every G1 and G2 toy?

Is that the Generations book? My KO has design sketch pages at the back which I dont think were in all the versions of the real book.

I'm always confused by it because it has a different cover to the real one. At least I think it does, like I said really confused. But utterly indispensable.

Yup, that's the original Generations and it sounds like you've got the deluxe edition

There's also the big Micron Legend 2003 book.
But these books really are the series with features runing through each book.

I'd love a big Unicron Trilogy guidebook. And a Beast Wars/Machines/CR/RID one

Thats the one. The KO comes in a very nice gold front cover with the original Optimus Prime on.

I've had a look at the KO one. Remarkably close to the original, right down to the paper stock!

Due to a warehouse clearance I finally got Transformers Collection 2007 today (brand new, €4)! Which makes me complete for this list, but on my list there's also the elusive Galaxy Force: Phase Ignition volume which I am not quite so optimistic at getting for a good price.

It's interesting to leaf through the 2007 volume so long after the fact. With less product to cover it's not nearly as dense as the more recent volumes, so it gives the individual toy photos more room to breathe. Also, um, Kiss players...

I thought I'd posted in this thread yesterday to say I'd updated it - evidently not.

The same post that I failed to put up made a point that there has been a lack of older toy photoshoots since TFManiax went in 2015 - 2019's Regenerations: Binaltech & Alternators is the only one I can find.

I miss them. More please! And a Unicron Trilogy Generations too!

I finally got it!

It's a slightly smaller format than the Generations volumes, and is a more traditional right-to-left Japanese book. It only covers toys released in Galaxy Force, and gives two whole pages to each one regardless of size class with drawings and photos, so everything gets more room to breathe than in the annual Generations volumes.

Very neat little book.

Galaxy Force Phase Ignition covers Galaxy Force, but not Cybertron.

There'd a separate Alternators/Binaltech book

The yearly volumes restart 2007/8 with the first Movie.

So an inclusive Unicron Trilogy volume, with Universe and Robotmasters would be most welcome

Do you have the 2003 Micron Legend yearbook Phil?

I agree though that I'd like to see some special volumes like you suggest. I'd prefer separate volumes for each part of the UT - it's a nice thing about the Armada Yearbook and Phase Ignition that each toy gets one or more pages.

I have the Micron Legend and Alternators/Binaltech books. Very nice. I thought I had seen Robot Masters in a book, but I may be misremembering.
