Of course. I didn't think of looking there. I like this Prime set.

They're not the worst exclusives I've ever seen. Taxi BB ties into the location too. I can see this being worth a penny or two in a few years.

Pink Prime Arcee doesn't work as well as Movie 1 (wonderfest) Pink Arcee, but the pair tempt me.

Dark of the Moon doesn't seem to be selling well; most shops are still stocking the first wave of Deluxe, Voyager and Commander. Hasbro UK has cancelled the odd wave in the past in favour of clearing existing stocks; even products in the very popular Generations line haven't been released here. Might we be in a situation where Hasbro UK decides not to release Prime? Tesco is sponsoring the series on Cartoon Network; might this lead to Prime toys being Tesco-exclusive?

It would be a little surprising not to get any of a brand new Transformers line (Aside from MW which doesn't count), but it always seems the people in charge only look at the big picture and don't seem to realise which individual figures are being offered makes a difference. If DOTM has been that disappointing then I suppose no Prime is possible especially as they do have a movie look to them and too much movie in the last 4 years must be part of the problem with DOTM not selling (Well that and tiny expensive toys, that often dont look as good as earlier versions).
It could be a store exclusive, it doesn't look like being that large a line given the cast size.

I think Prime being so movie-like works against it. I can quite see the lack of popularity of DOTM being because parents have already bought very very similar figures many times before already. How many Primes and Bumblebees that look pretty much identical do we need? I wonder if this is actually the case, are we seeing 'new' chars vanishing and the ones will millions of figures shelfwarming?
DOTM is the 4th biggest film of all time now, I believe, so it's not like the brand itself is weakening, it's stronger than ever!

We'll get Prime. It'll be new Generations that doesn't show up.

I wonder if this is actually the case, are we seeing 'new' chars vanishing and the ones will millions of figures shelfwarming? It depends on the character. I only had a few cases of DOTM Deluxe (so far), of which Bumblebee, who was 2 per case when the others were all 1, sold very quickly; Ratchet and Skids are both still sitting here, since August. Don't forget also that the films are each two years apart, which means there's a whole new load of children that have grown into the brand each time, who haven't had one of the many previous versions.

If kids already have Prime and BB why buy another when Topspin or Shockwave can add to the ranks instead of replacing. 4 years of essentially the same toys is the longest of any Transformers line isn't it? They usually switch up after 2 or 3 years. From a purely toy pov the film needed as many of the Transformers as possible to take on new alt forms so that the toys could be freshened up. Seeing how easily BB and the twins could do it it wouldn't have had to form a major part of the film but it would have really helped to freshen up the toyline. Actually they should have done it after Primes death in ROTF. In the end the only Soundwave and Megatron did this and only one got a full size toy. Want Leader Megatron.

My Swindon experiences indicate deluxe BB is selling nicely. There seem to be a lot of Voyager Optimus around but no wave 2 Voyager is hard to find. Ironhide & Megatron have sold through. Cyberverse commander Op, in either flavpur, appears to be abundent as are Ironhide & Megatron but Powerglide, Blackout & Hatchet are virtually nowhere to be seen.

I know the new film will draw in new buyers who would have ignored the earlier toys so Hasbro would be mad not to sell the main characters, but for those two years Bumblebee has still been available. Home Bargains had loads of £5.99 bees and then more in the Tomahawk and terrordive wave. TRU was a similar story. All at the same time Hasbro are trying to flog basically the same toy for a lot more. Around here at least it just seems like they are backing up.

That Cliffjumper looks fantastic. I am guessing this is the first individual mould for the character rather than a Bumblebee repaint.

I think it is indeed the first original 100% mould since back in the day.

I wouldn't count that one, as it doesn't appear to be a homage or based on the original Cliffjumper and there wasn't an Energon Bumblebee.

I agree. That was standard name re-use rather than any emulation of the original 80's toy/character.

The Energon 'Cliffjumper' looks more like a Technobot homage.
Skyshadow looks the business!

Tf @ the moon reporting that Kapow toys are reporting (phew!) that the UK retail release for TF: Prime toys is now January and not March. Hurrah!

Pity the poor American fans. Prime first aired in December 2010 and they still don't have toys on shelves. Major retailers (stuck with a ton of unsold DOTM product) aren't stocking the 'First Look' Prime toys which are only available through specialist stores.
We seem to also have problems shifting DOTM. I wouldn't hold my breath for seeing Prime toys on shelves.

January, really? Everyone is sure to have surplus money available to buy little Jonny another brand new set of toys just weeks after Christmas.
From an adult collectors view great I get new toys sooner. I just hope poor sales dont reduce the number of later releases.

Power Rangers always released their new line in January/February and it never did their sales any harm.
