So, in answer to the original question, yes we will get Prime. As for addressing the potential issue of Dark of The Moon overstocks, it seems this was addressed by Hasbro just not releasing very much to begin with, compared to previous Transformers lines; especially compared to previous film-based lines.

I had wondered about that. Edinburger stores have been piled high with shelfwarming DOTM toys since they came out. Even on discount, they just sit there.

The Smyths here has been absolutely stuffed with various flavours of Bumblebee which they can't shift for love nor money. They've managed to sell a reasonable amount of other Deluxes but the Bumblebee mountain has steadily grown.

I mean, he still looks like he does in the 2007 movie, most kids will already own the toy several times. The new figure doesn't look that different and to the untrained eye it looks identical.

...absolutely stuffed with various flavours of Bumblebee... For some reason I read that as vagrant flavours of Bumblebee. I quite like the term.

Well I got Prime Soundwave and having seen the ebay prices, sold it. It just went for £73.
I'll put that money aside and will buy most of the first wave in the US in 3 months for the cost of a single deluxe from Argos.
All I can say is "crazy Americans"

If I had been more organise I'd have got the voyager Megatron sold for £100 too but I think I left it too late.
It amazes me, I mean I could understand when Windcharger went crazy last year, US fans really didnt know if they would get it (which is why I tried to help as many people over there as I could), but this is just people who can't wait 5-10 weeks at which point Soundwave will cost less than the postage they just paid. (which is why I sold to the highest bidder)

I probably wouldn't be able to do it now, as there's only been one Deluxe and one Voyager in stock each time I've checked and I imagine they'll have gone by now. Also, it's tipping down; I'm not going to town in this weather. I had wondered if the high bidders were American; on past experience, it seems more like American collectors' behaviour than British.

This all very stupid. Why would people pay such high money for brand-new just-released figures?

I know. I could understand it if they were limited editions or something, but these are mass-release consumer products. They will be all over the place in a few months. Good grief.

So what are these Powerizer and Revealer things all about? There's no mention of them on the Prime packaging. Also, "powerizer" (if the word even exists except in reference to bouncy stilts) is an American spelling. I don't like the creeping Americanisation of our language.

It appears that the First Edition toys aren't coming out in the UK...guess I'll have to get them at AA then!

The Powerizer thing for the Voyagers may refer to them having light up gimmicks. Which sort of makes sense.

According to Argos, "New Prime Powerizers introduces an innovation in transformation - simply scan your Powerizer with your Smart Phone and see the power of Transformation!" Whatever that's supposed to mean. Not helpfully, the same sentence is used for the Revealers. (Actually, it is amended slightly. "They introduces an innovation," apparently.)
