I thought for a minute those were Voc tunics, but I see they aren't. This is going to annoy me.

Second guess was the guard uniforms from The Mutants, but no...

It just says Robots of Death to me. Are they the human costumes as opposed to the Vocs?

Hurrah! I thought it was something like that. The triangular shape of the shoulders give it away.

I, meanwhile have watched "Romanesque" - the 35th episode of SDF:Macross. Not technically a Christmas special, but takes place across the course of Christmas eve and thus a standard part of my festivities. (Complete with people singing a Christmas Carol at a midnight mass at a half-bombed out church).

And, another Christmas tradition/ritual ticked off. The Labyrinth has been braved, friendship has been established with Ludo, Bold Sir Didymus and his faithful steed Ambrosius have been made brothers in arms with and stolen baby Toby has been saved! Hurrah, my Christmas is properly on course.

Thinking about Who moving made me ponder the nature of Christmas specials these days. I haven't looked at the Christmas lineup yet, if it's been announced, but what would you want to see in terms of new specials now, not repeats?
I'd tune in for an Open All Hours special. BBC2 needs a Robot Wars special. If they did a TotP in the classic style with current chart music I'd watch.

Nobody knows exactly why. It's the sort of behind the scenes nonsense that will come out in the wash in about ten years or so when the players involved are no longer there and people feel confident enough to talk about it.
