Those look really fun. Definitely having Menasor. Ultra Bee looks a bit Fisher Price. They look just the same as the Crash Combiners, which are sadly not fun. I would advise to wait for sales on these. -Ralph

I was just reading the press release for these. It actually says that the crash combiners can act as limbs, which is a bit worrying given your observation.
I don't quite understand this, but it does say the combiners have a universal joint system so limbs are interchangable like CW. It looks like you buy a base set but can swap in limbs from elsewhere but where those extra limbs come from is another matter. Autumn release, it says.

I don't know... The press release says:
Choose to combine Bumblebee’s core AUTOBOT team to form ULTRA BEE TEAM COMBINER or combine DECEPTICON figures to form MENASOR TEAM COMBINER or GALVATRONUS TEAM COMBINER. The universal joint system means each figure works with other TEAM COMBINER figures or CRASH COMBINER figures, so kids can build their own Combiner robot!
So what does that mean? that the combiner team limbs can combine with the crash combiners, or the crash combiners can act as combiner limbs?!

I am confused. Looking at Decepticon Forth and Decepticon Back in packaging...the toys are identical! Not only that, the toy photos and illustrations on the packaging are the same! All that has changed is literally just the character name! What???
Has this happened before? I can't wrap my head around this!

So now I have two identical toys but with different names. So when I release them from their packaging...how I will which is which?
I can't stand the confusion in my miiiiind!

I got round the problem by buying one of the Back repaints to act as Forth and gifting Forth to a Chum.

Picked up Legion Springload. A frog that turns into a car. Should have been a winner but it's not doing it for me. Frog mode is a mess. The first proper RID toy I can say I have found to be poop. I am sad now.
Had a shot at Andu's japanese version of Warrior Ratchet. It's a really fun wee toy. I could not put it down. Simple but does the job. Such a shame it was skipped over here. I would buy one! But not at import prices, I don't think.

But the 2nd Springload is better that the toad first one that isn't anything like the cartoon. I know it's smaller but at least it looks like a frog than a toad.

I'd love to see more things like this. Accessories. I think because Transformers have two modes anyway, accessories are something they've never had - but imagine GI Joe without vehicles. How many other lasting toy ranges don't have playsets and extra bits. I'd love an Ark, but I know we've been through that discussion before.

I may want to re-think my appraisal in the "latest acquisitions" thread... You agreed he was complicated though! After cycling all the way to Paisley today in the wind and what turned out to be rain also, I decided to reward myself by picking up nuRiD Soundwave from Asda. And he's great. He's got a surprisingly complicated but also satisfying and not overly difficult transformation, which I do like. But best of all is his light-piped face - that works really well. Definitely worth the twelve quid I spent on it.

Yes, but I said he was satisfying, not maddeningly frustrating. (Which makes a change from the rest of my life.)

Continuing a point made in New Acquisitions: Y'know, I'm liking the fact everyone is now enjoying the RiD figures. I'm sure I was on my own with that back at the start. I don't think RiD got off to a great start. Simplified toys, another BB, a Grimlock wit the wrong head and in the wrong colour. And for it's first year the Warriors didn't help themselves by just releasing Autobots and then getting into a repaint rut. The second Warrior Decepticon, Megatronus, was a TRU exclusive on initial release at the end of that year (2015). Some of the Autobots in that time period, w1's BB then Sideswipe and Optimus could be better. Jazz and Drift are great though. It's only 2016 where they really get it right with more of the mad Decepticons at Warrior level, and the mad animal Decepticons really are this line's USP. Megatronus & Fracture, Thunderhoof & Quillfire, Scorponok and Bisk & Scatterspike, with Paralon as a repaint exclusive and Starscream as an exclusive before his general release. At the same time the general quality has also been improving as well.
