Fracture's Mini-Con is Airrazor. The Deployer DOES transform. #TRANSFORMERS #HasbroToyFair

Mini-Cons are Slipstream and Jetstorm (with Drift). Each Mini-Con comes with snap on weapons and armor. Buzzzsaw, Torpedoes. #TRANSFORMERS

The early reports were saying Warrior Jazz is a bee repaint but it's clearly not. It's noting like it. Quite nice actually. I wonder if the deployers are the same scale as the warriors. I'm not sure what goes with what with this range, but it has just exploded compared to the first wave.

Not a fan of that Jazz, though it could be one of those toys that doesn't photograph well.

Huh. I expected better for Jazz. From the screencaps I saw of him from the TV show I thought his design was quite attractive, but this? Nah.

Actually I've just noticed he has eyes and not a visor. Bit of an odd choice.

I kinda like Jazz, and Sideswipe both. (Swipe's head aside, that is. Ugliest thing since Nightscream) But I have to keep reminding myself that they'll probably be terrible quality toys. >_<

Interesting what they're doing with the Minicon Deployers here. I like it. Not as much as I like Minimus Ambus, mind you, but it's still something that might just give this line an identity and a reason to exist all of its own.

Oh. I thought the whole point of thunderhoof's antlers were that they were the rake for the tractor. Still, it's only a one step. He doesn't look much like a tractor either.
Still getting him.

Indeed. I've been banging that drum for a while. If RiD gives us nothing else, it has given us a moose headed Decepticon that turns into a tractor. It does not get better than that.

I didn't, but this does seem to be common with kids. The most violent fan concepts I see comes from 15 and under. The fan characters that are all 100% badass death machines are usually created by kids.
Myself, I liked sunbow season three as a kid, because it was more star trekish. More character spotlights, more adventure, less war. I liked the comics, because it was more about characters than mad violent action scenes. But yeah, it's my experience that the typical kid 8-15 wants more action and war. Both are things Prime sucked at.

Found warrior Drift and Op today. Passed on Optimus because he looks really lazy in person. Could be wrong, but his transformation seems insultingly simple, instead of just easy simple.
Got Drift and Bumbles, though.
Bee- as a toy, he's actually the strongest of the first wave. Cleverish transformation, though the rear of the vehicle hangs off his back as kibble. I see no reason it couldn't have been his chest. His biggest issues are the back kibble and shoulder kibble fight, and DUDE NEEDS A FUGGIN' DECO! Again, he has an atrocious lack of decoration. While I don't think the show bee could pass for Animated, this figure I feel could. Vehicle is a bit too boring and boxy, but the robot could pass as a "lost animated" supplement. Overall, I'm happier with him than the other three from his wave.
Drift- first, need to get this out of my system. HASBROTAKARAFUNPUBCHINAANYONE REPAINT HIM INTO ANIMATED YOKETRON RIGHT NOW! As it stands Yoketro... I mean Drift, is kinda all over the place. He's not unproblematic, and has quality control problems. But dispite his flaws, I can't help but like him.
His colorscheme is kinda G2 level "wth?" without actually crossing that line into being fantastically insane. Orange and black, it's very halloweeny without feeling halloween which sucks. Were he G1 white, or Movie blue, it would make so much more sense for the toy/character. But as it stands, it's just kinda bleh. And he needs paint. Like, seriously, WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH NO PAINT, Hasbro?!? Sculpting is great. But lack of paint kills all the nice details. Plastic quality feels a little bit better than the first wave. Shocked me, but his swords are solid hard plastic. They're very nice, and very strong. His hip armor has two slots to store them, RotF Bludgeon style. Only these won't warp, at all. His transformation is almost an exact duplicate of Bumbles. In car mode, he's a lot more interesting than 'bee, but this is where the colorscheme really kills it. The car is HIDEOUS in these colors. Also, this is where he feels most problematic. Tabs don't want to tab and stay, panels stick out, and kill the contours of the car. Your milage may very, though. Also, I cannot figure how to stow his swords in this mode, his terrible instructions don't mention it, and it's not at all obvious. Oh, and the dude is the spitting image of Yoketron. Animation model, not so much, but the toy absolutely.
Also, to beat a dead horse, I HATE these app symbol stickers. They ruin the asthetics of the toys, and look tacky as all get out. I wish they found a different way to do this, because I don't dislike the concept.
Edit: i figured out how drift's swords stow. Each handle has a slot i couldn't see easily, that clips loosely into pegs on his legs, under the car.

Picked up warrior optimus tonight. Anyone who (like me) thinks the majority of the BH predacons were insultingly lazy... This guy makes them look like extremely clever feats of engineering. To transform- raise arms over head and fold hands up into shoulders. Twist 180 at waist. Unfold leg panels. Lay down. Worse, his completely uninspired engineering limits his articulation in stupid ways. He has a swivle shoulder that allows him to only raise/lower arms. Even dumber, it connects ABOVE his body. So his shoulder connects to the body above his eyes. thing is... With a little tweeking, there is literally NO REASON FOR THIS. It could have sunken into his body a bit more realistically, and THERE IS NO REASON FOR IT TO NOT BE A BALL JOINT.
Unless you are a completionist, there is no reason to own this toy. The larger versions look better, possibly are a bit more clever, and are not that much more, price wise.
I got it hoping my visual assessment was wrong, like with Bumblebee (who's fairly enjoyable in a fiddly way), but it soooo isn't.

In my old age,I've come appreciate the play value of simple transfornations

I appreciate and enjoy simple. But there's a difference between simple and lazy. One can be simple, while being clever, original, and fun. BH ripclaw was this. She had the basic "stand up to transform" that was every predacon, but she had a cleverness about her, and is fun. But remains easy. BW Insecticon is just a flipchanger, but manages to be clever about it, and fun. I'd put NuRid Bee and Grimlock in this catagory of being simple, but enjoyable with some clever touches. However, BH Skystalker and Grimwing are just lazy.
Meanwhile, complex transformations can be awful and tedious and not fun. Generations Srg. Kup is terrible to transform. With some steps just being pointless.
So it's not that I'm railing that "simple means bad," at all.

So having watched the cartoon up to date I'm now thinking that a 'representative' set of figures for this line actually needs a fair few of them to be the Hyperchange heroes to get the scale better. You can have Warrior Bumblebee, Sideswipe and Strongarm, but Grimlock needs to be the three step version. Steeljaw and Thunderhoof need to be the bigger ones too.
Thing is Hyperchange Grimlock has his dino arms on his feet in robot mode, which looks chuffing rubbish.

Personally, I think Legends would have been better suited over here. Calibrate the line from the traditional deluxe/voyager set up, to legend/deluxe.

CJ: Whilst I completely understand your point of view with regards to RiD Warrior Prime, I have to say that I was quiote surprised to find myself actually liking the toy. Maybe because I already have enough complex, detailed Primes. Or maybe because it reminds of Transformers from the late '80s or the '90s. Or maybe it's because I was starting my second pint when I opened it. Who knows? But I kinda like it, in its crapness.
Although, I'm not arguing with you - there are definitely many better toys out there...

Actually, having looked, that three step Grimlock is too big to fit scale wise with the warriors. Might work in Dino mode but the robot is huge.

We seen Sideswipe, too.
Btw, lesser characters like these are good examples of who to expect or not, in generations. Sideswipe here in NuRid is why they're using Sunstreaker in CW. They said once back during movie/universe/animated, that if they have one character in one line, they won't use him in the other. And so far, they've largely stayed true to this. (The big four, op, bumbles, megs, and Starscream of course are immune to this)
