IMO, movie reveals are best left for SDCC anyway. Hardcore fans pay attention to both sdcc and botcon. Thus, IMO, the things that are treats to the hardcore guys like us are best for botcon, where they'll be best received. Most people who were to only pay attention to SDCC likely are far far more casual and wouldn't know jhiaxus or brainstorm from a hole in the wall, and probably only know what they see in the movies.
So this kick Hasbro has been on the last few years where botcon had just become a sneak peek for what they have for SDCC irritates the hell out of me.

Most things about the growing exclusivity of SDCC annoys me. But that's for another thread. (Which I won't investigate, because I'm supposed to be working. *ahem*)
But those clearer pictures of Brainstorm's Headmaster partner (I won't refer to it as Arcana yet because we don't know which Brainstorm this is) have given me rage! Some might say that it's an homage to the Headmaster Juniors, but why, WHY?, does it have a screw in the middle of its chest?!? It's been nearly thirty years! Surely someone could have come up with a better design solution than that? The original Headmasters were put together better than that! Grrr.

I moved them because it was all Generations discussion that followed from the links.

Oh, okay, though most of the pictures were other lines.

Got Skybyte and Roadbuster today.
Not terribly impressed with either of them.
Skybyte always seemed off, and I hoped in person that would be different. But he seems even more off. I think it's alright for those who have no skybyte, but if you do have the original, you have the better toy.
Likewise with Roadbuster, if he's a nobody character to you (like me), then any one of the dozen homage repaints hasbro has done is good enough. Toy doesn't bring anything new to the table.

Yep, Jhiaxus is looking very nice. He's another one I can forget to ever pick up. (Still kicking myself about forgetting about Death's Head before they all ran out.)

The only reason I have a Death's Head is that I was looking at the page at BBTS just after someone cancelled an order!

I have a really hard time being excited as I should for Jhiaxus. His colors are just sooooo wrong, it's not even funny.

Jhiaxus is an odd one. They've gone to the trouble of doing a lot of remoulding there, that head is very G2 comic accurate for sure, but then made it look plain with a poor paint job. Compare to Windblade's head. Jhiaxus is just a lump of orange plastic. All that fine detail is lost. Should have been a voyager for that character.

D'oh I got excited then, I thought it would be pic of Combiner Wars Generations Streetwise!

Nah, that'd go in the Generations thread. There's method to my madness! The stuff that goes in here is anything that doesn't have a thread elsewhere. If the discussion reaches a critical point it gets split off elsewhere.

Not gonna lie, I kinda want it. It's a better Streetwise than the Botcon one from a couple of years back.

If the tech specs are in the cockpit and the headmaster can fit in the cockpit when it's in jet mode, does this mean when the head is plugged in or automatically during transformation to robot the tech specs get revealed??? If you mean do they ring up like a cash register like the original ones did, I'm sure I read the tech specs on this Brainstorm are a sticker.

Nah, pretty sure from the pics you can see they don't. It's probably just a flap that folds up, if at all.

I'm just gutted they give us this but the chances of getting the other three are zero. I love having completable sets. Really looking forward to combiner wars because of that.
