Combiners! I'm kind of excited by this, mainly because they'll be cheaper (and, yes, smaller) than a lot of the third party efforts. But at the same time, I find myself not as excited as when the Power Core Combiners were released. And I don't get that at all. Maybe it's just the heat...

Superion already looks good, as long as the legs wind up in a decent final position. Menasor sadly looks like the glue isnt quite holding it together so its harder to judge, but theres potential.
Hands look a little large on both but I like Powerglide as a targetmaster.

A voyager, 4 deluxes and a legend may not be much smaller than quite a few of the 3p ones. But as someone who has never been quite sold on the over detailed hulk proportioned £300 chaps* I am very excited. But then I like FOC G2 Bruticus and Ruination. *(the original FP Swindle and vortex are the only two I've really liked once I've had a go with them) |

Still thinking about that 16 deluxes/4 Voyagers bit from Botcon and wondering if they are going to do Defensor and Bruticus too. Full set of the special teams.
Would be a massive gear change in the frequency of Generations toys, but I would love to recapture that feeling of collecting the limbs figure by figure. We were denied that with FoC Bruticus because his release here was virtually non-existent.

I am cautiously optimistic about the aerialbots and stunticons.
That said, I'm extremely disappointed about 2015 being "all combiners, all the time."
It was the best chance we've had in years to get any dinobots other than crappy grimlocks. And the last year has been sooooo good to non g1. All that's dead, now.
Motormaster is considerably more impressive than that awful Optimus.

Combiners all the time is the only way to make it work I think. To make the most of the mix and match approach and to get however many they plan to make all out it seems best.
Dinobots aren't going anywhere, will probably be back in the next film, lots of time for Hasbro to do them justice.
Also loving the individual figures, stunticons with out front end of the car on their chests. Ariellbots all look really good even Slingshot as a helicopter (possible Blade or Vortex remould?)

Love the idea that after wave one no combiner will be complete. There's some anticipation and excitement in the collecting there.
This is very exciting. Love the way the Legends pitch in too. Two waves isn't a year of releases either. There's got to be more. Wow, look at where Generations came from at the WFC stage with a handful of deluxes, and where it's going now. Massive upward curve in scope, scale and design.
Wonder if all this will come under the Thrilling 30 banner or if in 2015 that will become Combiner Wars!

I'm liking this. A lot. Some great ideas here, especially having Optimus as a proper combiner core.
Awwww yeah: 5mm peg holes on the combiner hands even though they're articulated :-)
