Fans project have got that covered I think, Hasbro can let rip with the combiners  I'm very happy to hear movie Slog will get a G1 makeover and be an Amazon exclusive. I NEEEED the Ark set. Combiner Prime has a very Starsaber/Hyperdrive thing going on. I like. And that mould looks so much better as Motormaster. Wow, that mold is so much better as Motormaster it's not even funny I think it's been shot at a better angle than Prime was which helps a lot. Optimus vs Motormaster |

Let's see...
Air Raid repainted x3, in blue, black and purple, and grey and red.
Optimus, and a possible Onslaught with a Megatron head. MotorMaster looks frakkin' fantastic, so maybe him with a Megatron head. But that'd mean Prime and Megs being the same mold....
A police car, an Ambulance. Deadend repainted as Jazz, Breakdowm as Wheeljack, Wildrider/Offroad as Soundwave. And a yellow Black Jack as Bumblebee.
We'd be laughing!

I'm glad I went to the cinema this evening. Not because I saw Age of Extinction again (thank the Pit), but because otherwise I would've just spent the whole evening sat here, drooling, waiting for more news to come in. As opposed to sitting, munching popcorn, doing little with my brain. Erm. Anyhoo.
Yes. I love this. What more can I say? This is amazing. Finally that Optimus mold makes sense. I was getting all excited about the possibility of an Optimus combiner (with Aerialbots as the limbs - the G1 fanfic writes itself at this point), then I saw just how good Motormaster looks. Which leaves me with a financial dilemma.
Damn though, they did save the best stuff 'til last, didn't they?
My only issue with this whole "Combiner Wars" thing, though, is that it's going to be accompanied by an IDW comics event. Which mean that we'll probably end up with each character requiring their own comic. It'll be Dark Cybertron all over again. Which no-one wanted. Can't they just let MTMTE and RiD get on with their own thing..?
Still. Combiners!

I'm a little worried about the tolerance issues on the slot pieces, which look rather thin, if you got a limb that didn't want to turn. Thinking about it.... I love the idea that Prime's a Combiner torso without a specific team, you use what you've got. But I suspect that making the entire line free form - any Voyager combines with any four limbs, no specific combiner teams, may have been a step too far for some TF fans who are at heart VERY traditional when it comes to combiners (see the rejection of PCC because the limbs wouldn't turn into robots) I wonder if it might be possibly to do TWO deluxes as a Voyager 2 pack to give us Devastator..... Especially if Hook could be substituted for (IDW RID Spoiler within) Prowl |

Silverbolt looks magnificent.
Skydive's remoldness is fine by me, he and Air Raid look so good.... Fireflight similar remold?
I don't mind repaints or remolds in this 'Combiner Wars' line, if they're close enough. Wildrider as a 4x4 is fine, Slingshot as a helicopter is not great, but I'll give 'em it, to keep costs down.
What other repaint/remolds can we expect?

'Slingshot' and 'Wildrider' are both completely new characters complete with new names. I'm actually glad Hasbro did that rather than take their usual half-measures when it comes to a character they for whatever reason couldn't actually fully do, because then if the opportunity avails itself later we could get more accurate Slingshot and Wildrider without feeling jipped.
In particular, Alpha Bravo's head looks totally like Vortex. And Offroad I find oddly reminiscent of the newly revealed female Strongarm...
