He's only 3 million years old. The Ark crashed four million years ago.

Was his age just stated on the letters page? Not in a story?

The letters page is canon.

A canon means 'a body of work'. It does mean whether something 'counts' or not.

Elsewhere, Bludgeon's crew decide to ignore Earth and target Klo as an unprotected planet ripe for conquest. On Cybertron, Prowl despairs. Back on the Ark, Ratchet awakes but is unknowingly still psychically connected to Megatron - seeing through his eyes just as Galvatron attacks again. 30 Years Ago This Fortnight: Issue #328A Savage Circle - Part 2: On Cybertron, Grimlock reveals to Prowl that before the exodus four million years ago, he and the Dinobots stole and hid three Decepticon battle cruisers, one of which he is now in command of. Prowl questions where they should go, and Grimlock claims he has a plan. On the Ark, Galvatron comes to his senses and realises he can't kill Megatron but instead should work with him. Shockwave tries to destroy Megatron, but is stopped by Galvatron. Hi-Q explains to Blackrock that the nucleon transformation process combined his mind with Optimus Prime's, the pair now existing together inside his head. Cryptically, he says they must find the Last Autobot. Meanwhile, Starscream goes to see how many Autobots have been revived and finds only the confused Ratchet - still dealing with the effects of being mind-linked to Megatron. They fight and Ratchet triggers an explosion in the nucleon store, sending the Ark on a collision course with Earth once again. Machine Man 2020 - Victory - Part 3: Previously printed in #41. Elsewhere, Transformation tells readers to look out for new titles coming soon from Marvel UK: Warheads, Hell's Angel and Motormouth; Repugnus features in the A-Z; Colin encounters Megabrain on the moon; there's a competition to win Overlord toys and videos of Starscream's Ghost/Fight or Flee; Marvel invites readers to choose their annual from a selection of Police Academy, New Kids on the Block, Barbie, Beetlejuice, Monster in my Pocket and Transformers; and on the letters' page, Gary Slatcher of Fareham is all doom and gloom about the future of the comic while Blaster claims its closure is by no means certain yet.

It was torture. The impending doom, the promise of some light at the end of the tunnel and then Paul Neary kiboshing it at the last minute and that shit editorial in the last issue.
BASTARDS.

30 Years Ago This Fortnight: Issue #329The Last Autobot - Part 1: On Earth, Spike Witwicky stands by the crashed remains of the Ark, wondering if he is the last Autobot. He has been summoned by Fortress Maximus to once more take up the battle against the Decepticons. Six days earlier, Galvatron escaped the destroyed ship and fled into the Canadian wilderness. On Cybertron, the Neo-Knights listen to Hi-Q as he continues to claim to be Optimus Prime. He says that the Last Autobot, created by Primus as the planet's last line of defence, must be activated to save the Transformer homeworld. Suddenly, Dynamo receives a blast of energy and Hi-Q takes this to mean the Last Autobot is trying to contact them. In space, aboard the stolen Decepticon cruisers, Prowl worries that the Autobots will be too late trying to save Klo from the Decepticons. Grimlock disagrees, but on the planet's surface, Bludgeon's forces wreak havoc. Machine Man 2020 - Victory - Part 4: Previously printed in #42. Elsewhere, Transformation tells readers to look out for a newly coloured version of The Big Shutdown coming next week in Machine Man's vacated slot; Fortress Maximus gets a huge double-page A-Z entry lifted straight from the Transformers Universe pages; Colin employs combat strategy 658 to avoid Megabrain; Marvel offer different annuals to last week's advert: Care Bears, Tiny Toon Adventures, The Flintstones, Thundercats, The Real Ghostbusters and Tom & Jerry; and on the letters' page, Blaster reveals the Neo-Knights can survive on Cybertron because it has an oxygen rich atmosphere and running water.

30 Years Ago This Fortnight: Issue #330The Last Autobot - Part 2: On Klo, Bludgeon leads the Decepticons toward an easy victory until Krok warns him he has found an Autobot tracker on their ship. On Earth, Spike decides he will rejoin Fortress Maximus after all, but when he does he discovers Max really wants his help to fight Galvatron. Spike initially refuses to help but eventually the pair overcome Galvatron, who is plunged into a freezing lake. On Cybertron, the Neo Knights are amazed as the Last Autobot rises from the ground. The Big Shutdown - Part 1: Colourised reprint of #230. Elsewhere, Transformation brings the news everyone was hoping for - Transformers will continue past #332 in a 36 page monthly format with five new pages of strip each issue as well as colourised reprints of black and white strips from the last few years; Colin pulls his Mega Nuko Pistol on Mega Brain; Marvel showcase a third batch of annuals available now - Super Heroes, Star Trek TNG, X-Men, The Amazing Spider-Man, GI Joe and Doctor Who; and on the letters' page, Mrs S Thomas of 16 SIG REGT would like help finding some Transformers pyjamas for her son, while Tanya Dean of Sydney, Australia would like everyone to know Optimus Prime has a sexy body.
