I certainly want the four main combiners to scratch the itch of only ever having Bruticus as a kid. I've enjoyed this line so much though I'd also like to get the eight Autobot cars and Skylynx. I don't need the cars to combine though, so I'm not after a full set of Voyagers.

I decided right from the start that I was only going to get the Stunticons, an Autobot set, and one or two others if I saw them in shops (like Skydive, who I had as a child). I would like them all, but cannot for expense, space, and sanity issues (I must control my addiction, I MUST!). Oh, and then there's the trouble and strife... But I still haven't completely rulled out the Protectobots, who I've always felt are the Stunticons natural enemy. I still don't know who my Autobot team's core will be. I don't want another Optimus/MotorMaster mold. I don't dislike the mold, but it does have issues. Hope for a red Hotspot as either Optimus or Inferno. Maybe Silverbolt, 'cos of his conection to the others via Magnaboss.
I also have really enjoyed the line.

And he calls himself a doctor?! Hush, van driver. Bloody feels like a van in the back of 'em... Patients get worse by the time they arrive at hospital, more often than mustn't! Unless... it's me....

I don't think M is attending AA. Might be one for Boatcon.

And it's 4.5 seconds, that time has been carefully scientifically selected.

Contiunued from the MP Hot Rod v2 threadAlso, I believe the PVCs were the first official use of the term "Generation One" which is semi interesting, if not important. That reminds me. When did Combiner start being used all the time in fan circles over gestalt. It used to be gestalt this, gestalt that...

Careful, round these parts if you don't say 'Special Team' you'll be hung up and burned alive. ITS OKAY PHIL WE WERE TALKING ABOUT SPECIAL TEAMS, NOTHING TO SEE HERE (Yeah, combiners is a better word)

Where'd you guys get "special team" from anyway? They're called Sub-groups, as per Marvel's run.

Here's the term on a Hasbro UK promo leaflet Oddly it's not on the comic print ad or the 86 catalogue.

Indeed, gestalt/combiner is one thing, but either term is secondary to Special Teams when it comes to the UK mythology. That's what we were told they were called, and I've still got the cut out and stick on card collection/fold out poster that came with the comic with all the characters on. That was an amazing time when 20 new toys turned up at once

That promo leaflet was a comic pullout. I've still got that too.
