True. I got him for Christmas '98 and had to finish transforming Tripredacus on Boxing day. It's not quite as bad after the first attempt, but that first attempt...

I have no problem with Tripredacus, but Cicadon (or no which ever becomes the arms) makes me cry when I try and get it to look like a bug. Its mean.

No! compared to transforming Ramhorn all things are good and happy and loving and EASY.
Honestly getting all three components of Magnaboss to combine in the torso area bugs me a lot more than Cicadon and Sea Clamp though I did once hurt my finger doing that.

Yeah, a bugger to TF, but well worth it. Great combiner.

Thanks for the info Karlos, that makes sense now. Big help ta.
I love my Tripredacus, but I preffer Magnaboss. Ramhorn into arms into bug is tricky! Thing I find with Tripred' is that he constantly falls apart at the waste, ie Sea Clamp and Cicadcon don't conect too well. No such trouble with Magnaboss! Grrr!
Can't wait for my Magmatron to arrive!!!!!! He and Mags are gunna have suuuuuch a big battle!

That suggests you've not quite combined them right, as they lockj quite solidly on (both of) mine. The straight bits on the underside of Cicadon should end up inside Seaclamp's waist

Optimus Primal: Dear god he's a brilliant toy!!
I never knew he had such a serious amount of playability, hidden features and general coolness.
Got him off eBay yesterday, and I'd say hes just taken Inferno's spot as my favourite Beast Wars toy.
Can't believe I left it so late in getting him!

I take it you mean the deluxe Gorilla version?
It is a splendid toy.

I can never tell the Monkey Primes apart just from their names. Is he the TALL industrial looking late TM2 figure?

He's the original 1996 Beast Wars version Elliott. There are about 100 different features, such as two awesomely positioned shoulder mounted missile launchers, a transforming hand which also fires missiles, a hand that opens up to reveal a mace, a battle mask, two swords that can be hidden in the robot, plus two different styles of push-button attack.
Can't get over how great this guy is.

I've got him. Technically my first TF purchase since childhood. 2nd year of Uni.
He is quite cool.

Oh I freakin' love Optimus Primal! I got mine in the free loada supposed junkers from Barricade. He's, as you say D.S. GREAT! The features and fightability of this fig make him one of the best BW toys ever.
What is the Delux ape Primal like? Anyone got this fig? Does he have the same features as the original Ultra sized one?

Ditto with the warning. The BM deluxe is the worst version of Optimus Primal available.
Actually, Primal was the BW toy that convinced me to get back into TFs. I dread to think what would have happened if I had ignored it and missed out on the excitement of the various toy, comics and movie lines (actually, I would have had more money and space).

Original BW Primal is ace!!
Transmetals Primal isn't good though. That toy was a sad step down from its predecessor.

Yeah, I had TM Primal ages and ages ago, long before Original Primal. I'd go so far as to say it's a terrible toy. Esp compared to Original. Biiiiiig let down.

Not a lot, though as a toy in its own right it doesn't really match up to the original monkey Primal if compared in a like-for-like manner. But they are so different, I don't really see the point.

I know folkes groan when anyone asks a 'scale' question. But I was wondering what the scale of the Beast Wars characters is compared to G1 characters. They supposidly took on smaller, more energy efficient beast forms. So what, is Optimus the size of an actual ape?! Is Razorbeast the size of a hog? You can prob imagine why I'm asking. Yes I'm building up to my Autobot Alts fighting my Predacons!
Any info from the wise folkes of The Hub great appreciated!
Ian.

The average deluxe I think is about humanish sized. So produced to scale with g1 toys Dinobot would be the size of a headmaster/micromaster. Primal the size of a large minibot. Rattrap, teeny tiny, bigger than an actual rat though. Razorbeast is probably about the right size to be a real hog though.

I recommend watching episodes with the prehistoric people and the G1 characters, such as Code of Hero and Agenda Part 3.
