There's nothing different about the IDW Magnus design is there? I thought it was pretty much G1 Magnus?

It does need to be a larger figure and I hope that it does away with the cab section and just transforms straight into the armoured bot. Until then I am happy with my Fansproject Magnus.

I'd love for Hasbro to take the Titanium version and do it properly in Generations, the basic concept worked really well I thought.

they screwed up MP magnus, now they screw up CW Magnus. If it's not a white optimus with car carrier trailer supermode, it's not g1 Magnus. Hardly a screw up. It's also quite clearly not meant to be G1 Magnus. We already have a G1 Magnus, it's a nod to the current IDW one. I'll wait till I see pictures of it, but I could be tempted. Andy |

I'll take toy G1, Marvel G1, or even Sunbow G1 over IDW G1.
Cannot stand what Roberts did to Magnus.
And no, we've never gotten a full G1 update. We've gotten two halfassed versions.
Classics which is just the optimus repaint, and MP which screwed that part up by only going armor mode.
And yes, IDW is G1.

He's so distinctive I wonder what they can remould/paint this as without just doing a Diaclone one? Megatron & Jetfire have had two uses each, but is this one going to be an obscure SDCC recolour?

Magnus is just brilliant. They've done him proud. That makes grinning and bearing all the TF Prime ones worthwhile. Look at the head, his entire character is in those eyes. But I bet the cab is smaller than Prime's.
Combiner Prime needs a 3P trailer now.

Alright, I'm comfortable enough to admit Magnus looks pretty good. Not as good if the cab were a separate thing (Which would open up for future PM Optimus retools), but much better than I feared. Minimus is a joke, but it doesn't seem to have any effect on Magnus so that can be chunked away or sold. Cyclonus... I'm genuinely stunned at him. Though I think the concept is folly, and the retooling resources should have been put to something better, it does look pretty good. Not "Replace the perfect Universe version" good, or even "BUY ME!" good, but better than I ever imagined. THe constructicons look great. I'd feared they dropped the ball on them, but they have not!
