Thanks all. She was kept in overnight for observations and further tests. Will see what today brings. Mrs M herself is stuffed up full of cold which isn't helping.
Heart attack seems to have been ruled out but she had another spell of dizziness/chest pain while we were in a cubicle in A&E waiting to go to ward. Hard to tell exactly what is going on or how often this is happening as her dementia means she can't articulate how she feels. It has however meant she is less prone to the previous panic/terror she used to have when having any sort of tests done or from being in a hospital though. Some.. trying moments though in the early hours getting her up two floors to the ward as she didn't like her bed being moved and was terrified of the thought of being in a lift.
Hopefully we'll know more later today. Some great staff last night though. We ended up with a nurse who'd done 20 years of dementia work before becoming a nurse so that was perfect really.

Hospital just called to say they are releasing her this morning. Tests have all come back negative which is good and bad as we don't know what was up but doesn't seem to be any danger now. They are arranging for an ambulance to take her back to care home. Mrs M and I will visit her early this afternoon there and see how she is.

Good to hear that it wasn't a heart attack. Must be frustrating to not know what it was though. Hope that she is doing ok given the circumstances.

We saw her back at the home this afternoon. Totally different, colour in her face, relaxed, etc. A bit worried/anxious about the being in hospital yesterday but it is already fading fast. Phew.
Would've preferred we got to the bottom of it all but for the moment it seems to have been a temporary problem.

I require some energy over the next few days.
On Monday I have the workplace health assessment I have requested. This could go very well for me or very badly.
This is also the first 9-5 full week at work for several months due to health issues.
I also need to get the first essay of the new OU course done in the evenings this week. It looks easy but for some reason I just haven't been able to get a word down.

Occupational Health meeting was helpful. I wish that chap was my actual doctor because in contrast to the last 18 months he worked out what my problem probably is within 5 minutes. He said my condition is relevant under the disability parts of the Equality Act 2010 so my workplace must make reasonable adjustments and he outlined what they should be. I now have to wait to see if work will follow that or if I need to take up legal advice.
Specialist appt next Tuesday. Hopefully that person has the same possible diagnosis so I can get proper treatment.
Essay done. It's of very poor quality compared to my usual standard (I genuinely wouldn't grade it as a pass) but I am currently knackered so it will have to do.
Shattered.

Channeling required. Loving the current OU module but struggling to even start the next essay, which is due Monday. Still feel knackered post-flu, having a distressing 'blip' with a health condition and meds for it really affect my concentration in general. Feel zombied out half the time. Trying to come off them but can't do it quickly going by GP advice. Really just need to bang together something to scrape a pass. Then I can use the feedback and should feel better by the time next one is due and can do a proper job of it. Send kind thoughts. I usually knock these things out without too much stress and always before got them in a couple of weeks early.

Will do.
Can you ask for a medical induced extension? Don't be shy to ask them.

Try starting in the middle. Often the first sentence of a piece of writing can be the hardest - jump in with something you can write about and that'll get you started.

Will do. Can you ask for a medical induced extension? Don't be shy to ask them. I'd rather take the blow of struggling to scrape a pass on one essay rather than fall behind with extensions due to Other Life Stuff that needs done soon. -Ralph

Good thoughts coming your way. I've been where you are, and it isn't pleasant - but my experience suggests that it won't last forever, one way or another things will change for the better.

Incredible levels of pain since Tuesday night. Need channeling for the physio being able to reduce it though no appointment until next Thursday. Had seen a huge improvement health wise until recently and now it's suddenly reversed. Very worried.
