I watched it last night. Wow. That was certainly a feature length motion picture. I have nothing else to say about it. It's an assault of a movie. An assault on the senses, an assault on decency, an assault on cinema, an assault on all Transformers canon (including his own) and its fandom. There's a decent basis of a move in there somewhere but it felt like nobody at their famous writers table had an idea rejected and they were all chucked into the same movie.

I think I'm only ever going to see it if it comes on the telly. I may rent it from the library, if it's there. I'm certainly not ordering it in. I have my reputation to think of.

Apparently the Target exclusive release in the US contains the Combiner Wars web series as an extra.
Which in time may explain why everyone went to Best Buy instead.

Target is what over here? Tesco isn't it? So if Tesco have an exclusive extras disc it'd be worth looking at it. I'm not sure I want to spend fifteen minutes of my life watching this, but TFormers have a guide to what each US release has on it. Annoyingly they seem to have replaced the nice easy list they originally published with this instead.

I have finally seen this movie. I acquired a digital copy and watching with PotPlayer it turned out I had a 3D copy as left/right views were displayed on screen.
I do not have a 3D TV, but I do have...
RED/CYAN GLASSES.
Tweaking with the settings in PotPlayer gave me what I wanted. 80s 3D movie technology made this feel like some crazy B-Movie and enhanced the experience 10-fold.
11/10 would watch again.

Got the 2 disc one - at least we get a 2nd disc this time. Hopkins needs to explain all the story because Bay can't be bother to film it

It's actually proven hard to find, but I eventually got one.
I hope, aside from the slip sleeve and a stick on barcode it's identical to the regular edition.
I may still be deprived of combined wars.

I got through about half of it last month on the internet. I am happy it made zillions of dollars to help finance the production of G1 inspires toys like Titans and Power of the Primes. As long as HasTak makes more such toys they can go ahead and make 10 more Bay movies.

Out of curiosity because it was free on my partner's Prime account, I watched this at the weekend. Complete nonsense, barely coherent and weirdly structured, but I enjoyed it a lot!
I think I mostly liked the little world-building bits and pieces; I would be up for reading the adventures of Izabella, Canopy and Skweeks in the ruins of Chicago. The part which introduced the Decepticons that Megatron was negotiating the release of was fun, as was Cuba-dwelling, volleyball-playing Topspin.
I also like that the presence of Transformers on Earth has actually had an impact over the films, and that Chicago didn't just get magically rebuilt and reoccupied.
There's still plenty to dislike, but I got more out of it than I expected.
