Wouldn't a Quintession inacting with a human be original? Like in the past they ignore humans which lead to Nightmare planet ep. But would be better than them just confronting Optimus in space.

So that's a Optimus Prime Voyager size knight armour toy vac-chrome form toy on the shelf for next year then. We so love vac-chrome toys which get nice paint chips.

That font has to be a placeholder, it looks dreadful and we've got a close up of part of Optimus' face from a model/early render.

Josh Duhamel is confirmed as coming back, Tyrese Gibson also likely. This makes me oddly happy. The most consistantly likeable and watchable humans in the series.

I quite liked the Lennox character, it was one of the least objectionable human elements.
I'm going in to this movie with low expectations of story, but at least there will be explosions!

In fairness, one of the most popular pieces of Transformers media with modern fandom nominally concerns a search for a group of knights who are somewhere between those of the later Arthurian stories and the Paladins of Charlemagne - and the previous movies used the ideas of divinely ordained "chosen ones" and "ancient magic artefacts" as macguffins and plot- drivers. The previous film muttered some flim-flam about Stabbimus Prime being a descendant/successor of some sort of holy order of space robots at the same time as it was mumbling something about Transformers being made by some space beings from bits of dinosaurs transformed by alchemical bombs. Heck, the last major cross-over pending when I left off reading TF comics was about a magic artefact that one of the robot apostles had hidden on Earth...
So the idea that they are going to go all-out on the Optimus Prime as crusader knight with big sword is pretty much what modern Transformers fiction _should be_ about, short of a very high-G reversal of course. (That said, I fully expect there will be one or two audible lines about how Prime is a knight whilst he decaptitates whatever mook-bots are dreamed up for the next film in some geographically confused montage of bits of a world city or two). Oh and explosions and car stunts - judging by the numbers that appears to be what the audience for this wants to see, with the rest being window-dressing.

Duhamel's return suddenly makes the new little girl being cast make a lot more sense. She's probably the daughter that was born in the first movie.
Otherwise explaining her could potentially be really weird because it'd be like Cade saying "Oh hai Bumblebee! Forget the daughter I had during our last adventure, let me introduce you to my 15 year old niece, while bay inappropriately sexualizes her for the camera!"

Why do all the cars have to be not released concept cars.
because ... if you are crashing down from space the only thing you can scan is a concept car that is locked away somewhere & not a car out in the open which would mean you would fit in more.

Are we going to have some fun & just guess at names for characters we have seen pics of in car shots?
I expect all the 4 V cars etc are human groups.
Black car - might not be in it because they must have been driving them to location & not have the flatbed trucks to move them like for past films
Yellow car - Bumblebee
pickup - I do think this is going to be a character - Kup (because Ironhide is dead)
big truck - Hound unless it is Optimus?
police car - Barricade #67 punish & enslave
Bike - Decepticon or maybe 2? Sideways like name?
VW camper - ?
green & white tow truck - ? states Never back down on front.
2 * Jeeps & 2 * army transport trucks on flatbed trucks

Well, going by the past films and the speculation over the cars and trucks that were pretty much dead ringers for the Stunticons in the AOE leaks, I'd say:
Black car - Tantrum
Yellow car - Bumblebee
pickup - Silverbolt
big truck - Wildrider
police car - Fixit (Barricade clone)
Bike - Onslaught
VW camper - Spittor
green & white tow truck - Thunderwing

After seeing new image I think the following could be the plot {Spoiler}Movie plot - Optimus returns to Cybertron & find it is being rebuilt by the Junkions being controlled by the Quintessions. They discover info about Galvatron on Earth & send Wreckgar to find him so they can revert him back to Megatron, one of the Junkions joins the Decepticons (bike). Wreckgar switches sides later on |
