Sort of Ghidorah with chicken-heads instead of dragon-heads...and a really bad skin rash. Or perhaps a sort of mutated fusion of the Iron Chicken and Soup Dragon. In which case the McGuffin for this film would have to be the Bluest Ringpud.
I am amused by that articles description of Epps as "commanding officer Sergeant Epps". There are two possible readings of that - that they think that Epps was in charge in the first film, or that they think that he is an officer with a commanding presence.
Both technically wrong (given Epps is a sergeant and therefore enlisted personnel not an officer...). :-)
Hot Rod looks just like Bumblebee without the wings. Where's his trademark yellow spoiler? That has absolutely nothing of hot rod in it at all. I suppose the alt mode will be an Earth car as opposed to Cybertronian.
And flames - He's the one who is actually supposed to have flames!!! In pretty much all the media, Hot Rod's look has always been pretty much the same. I keep thinking this might make an acceptable Wildrider but only given the colour scheme.
I wonder if this is why he has a change of colour scheme in Jack's Lost Lights cover?
I think the design is bad for Hot Rod. The right colours should be the minimum we expect - he needs his spoiler, flames and face. Hot Rod is just as iconic as Optimus to me in his features. I know we should just expect this thing after 10 years of it, but it doesn't make it right. How would an X-Men fan feel if they heard Storm was going to be a four armed body builder guy in her film appearances?
Still, neat colouring work Andy - it does improve it. (although it could also be Movie Atomizer).
