Bogatan - there's an extended intro for season 2 that you might be interested in (it includes a lot of callbacks to S1 so obviously shoudlnt' be viewed before then!)

Just as a warning, apparently Cartoon Network put out a promo with a big honking spoiler in it for upcoming episodes which has pissed people off (including show staff). I've not idea what it is, but it's probably best to hide from anythng SU-related til new eps air (whenever that is).
And if anyone here spoils me, I will cut you bad >: (

Still, it's good to know we'll be getting a long unbroken chunk! And that Cartoon Network are continuing to want to push it with big events and not shove it in the death slot like with Transformers (YET!)

More good news: Steven Universe has been renewed through season 5. They have been given enough episodes for a second major story after the primary one is finished.

Nope they just changed the definition of a season to 26 eps so it is still the same situation as when season three was confirmed the other month.

I slept through it because of CN's horrible general scheduling. After months and months with nothing at all (new or repeat) I forgot and went to bed.
Had to miss and catch the 3am reairing of Orphan Black (right now), so I could catch the 9pm reairing of SU.

Well it was on yesterday, but I forgot because CN trained me not to think about it for not having been on for months. So I watched it today over wifi at Taco Bueno. I 'bout cried when Lapis crushed Peri's recorder. I mean, we know she has a meanstreak in her, and she's spent the last several thousand years pretty brutalized... But even still...
The baseball thing was hilarious, especially with Ruby and Sapphire doing nothing but flirting.

Well, no. She hasn't seen Peri's redemption. But neither had she seen what the crystal gems were like, but she still gave them benefit of doubt based only on Steven's word. And we've seen she trusts him.
And when she lashed out at the gems, it was in self preservation, and she was just trying to get away from them, and from earth.
This here was different, though. Even to her it was obvious how hard Peridot was trying to reach out to her. It was obvious because Steven was trying just as hard. She may not like, or trust Peridot, but she does believe in Steven.
And it's one thing to turn away Peri's offering of friendship. With everything that happened to her because of Peridot, that's well within her right to be angry.
But Peridot, as her last chance offered her her security blanket. She told Lapis how much this meant to her, and how important it was, with the most earnest sincerity she has *ever* had.
And Lapis crushed it. She crushed it in front of her. And the only reason she did it was to hurt her.
And that's quite a bit different than turning her down again, or yelling at her some more.
Like I said, I know Lapis has a mean streak in her... But damn that's cold. |

I think it's going to end with a Peri/Lapis fusion.
They already set up Peridot's growing interestin the true meaning and emotion behind it.
I just hope it ends with Lapis giving Peri another recorder. |

At least they're cuter than the Pop! Vinyl monstrosities. But still bloody weird.
Here's an idea that's never been done for this show! How about instead of stylizing them, they make them look like the character art!
I might even buy blind packs of those, and I DISPISE blind packs!
