Im gonna have to agree with Jetty that ending was a little bit iffy. It could have been so much worse though.
Otherwise it was good. I thought the story was pretty strong, songs weren't bad but the series has probably had better.
Spinel had the potential to be a disaster of a character, the 1930s cartoon character vibe can be grating even if the character isnt as over the top as Spinel is but thankfully she ended up working well. Her animation capturing that old school style was great.

As it is it felt like the show quickly shooing Spinel off stage, but at least they had Steven point out how difficult the diamonds are. If not for that he would have been behaving almost as badly as his mother.
As it is, its doesnt feel like Spinel is best off going with the diamonds or that Steven should believe that it is. So felt a little iffy still
