ASM Epic v4 and New X-Men Complete Collection v3 have both obtained the necessary cheap price.
It feels very odd buying books while on the train!

X-Men Epic 4: It's Always Darkest Before the Dawn en route from Amazon.
It's the first Epic I've got from them in I don't know how long.
Partially this is down to it being one I really want, partially because the cheap ones are taking longer to turn up and partially because this one reached a cheaper price - £21.11 - that most Epics do at Amazon taking it to within range of my £20 target price.
It will also trigger the departure of the X-Men Classic Essentials from the house now I have the contents Epic Collected.

So the general form for the bargain Epics is they pop up for a higher price on Books etc for a few days and then drop to a lower price, usually just under £19 or just over £20.
Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The Original Marvel Years Vol. 4 went up at £29 something during the week and has just gone down to a slightly more expensive than usual £21.73. Do I pay it or do I wait for another potential price reduction? It is material I already own, so I'm inclined to wait, but I've had my eye on this one on Amazon and while the volumes around it have all been £23.45 or lower at some time during their preorder this one didn't get less than £30 even though it's the same US price.

See, I'm tempted given the pricing in the run up.
But I just feel it should be cheaper.
I'd feel that anyway but already owning the material lowers my tolerance for paying slightly more.

But it is an Epic. You must have them all. What if it goes out of print, Phil??

This has pleased me somehow on multiple levels: new book I wanted - I'll go into it's significance elsewhere, less mucking about than the SW epic and it's less than I budgeted which is always useful.

I'll only be ordering from Amazon for books for as long as in current abode so they can go to an Amazon locker for collection. I have learned to my cost that the postie round here will bend and damage books shoving them into my post box rather than just leave a sorting office card if they won't fit. Had a whole package of books from Obverse which were so badly damaged by postie they were unusable.

Avengers West Coast Epic Collection 2: Lost In Space-time hits comic shops today.
You may recall obtaining WCA Epic 1 last year caused me some grief and when I did I got a misprint!

And there it did stay at Books Etc. Odd, especially as two other retailers had it for £21.10. When one of them raised the price yesterday, I jumped on the remaining one. The price remains stationary this morning at Books Etc but they have the new West Coast Avengers epic up this morning, straight in at £18.94 www.booksetc.co.uk/books/view/-9781302919719Thank you kindly. I will continue to keep an eye on the Thor......
