ASM Epic Maximum Carnage: takes a week to come into stock at Books Etc and is £21.40. For Reasons, I cracked at that price instead of waiting, but am keeping an eye Glad I cracked. Went out of stock 36 hours later and hasn't come back yet. I bought it from Blackwells, it'll only be a couple of quid cheaper on Booksetc, and I've been waiting long enough already. Yeah, shame they're not putting some of the Classic X-Men back ups in the Epics, or even the page/panel edits as extras. That's how I first read this era of X-Men, and they have the material already as they did the omnibus. |

Yeah, and all the comics in the Epic Collections have been done in the Omnibus collections before, etc, etc.
The Classic X-Men back up strips are relevant and in continuity and should be in the Epics. I accept that the page and panel edits may not be, but they're certainly a curio worth visiting.

In the ten I received, there were a few Part One or Two volumes, unfortunately, but I did okay on the whole, with my bundle including Flashpoint and full stories including Plastic Man, Green Arrow and Green Lantern, Catwoman and Justice League. The only title I already owned was Kingdom Come (Part 2). Despite the partial stories and Kingdom Come, I more than got my money's worth. |
