Good question, because we should probably get an alley (or two by the sound of things) booked pronto. The place at the Springfield Quay is pretty reasonable if the Sky Park is full. Also, Springfield has Air Hockey.

I would like to do the bowling and air hockey at Springfield Quay and pub it from there.

Sounds like a good plan. Definitely worth getting a lane booked for the Friday methinks before too long. Good thinking there Nicholas.
It sounds like we have a plan for what we are doing then. So, what sort of plan do we want to arrange for rendezvousing on the Friday?

Well, that Friday i shall be finishing work at 5:30pm. Anyone who will be in the Glasgow City centre area, let me know and we shall have the sweet hookups.

Wasn't there also talk of Thursday on the previous page? Martin I think Andy and Ralph are around on the Thursday as I recall. I'm not sure what time I am finishing work that day - probably between half-five and six at the earliest so I likely wouldn't be able to make it over to Glasgow until between seven and eight. I had been under the impression that the primary day we were aiming for was the Friday. But I may be labouring under a missapprehension. Karl

Thursday was talked about as well, but Friday was the bowling day. With ralph's kind assistance I will be available Thursday.

Thursday was talked about as well, but Friday was the bowling day. Andy Ah, good to know my brain-cell is back in something like working order after the last couple of days of zombification. I am off on the Friday so I am available pretty much any time that day. I can meet up with folk pretty much anywhere and anywhen that they wish. Karl

I actually played a few rounds of Wii bowling last night, convinced it was going to help my performance.

Okey-dokey! I'm in town from 2pm-ish on Thursday to 10am-ish on Saturday, so just let me know when and where you want me, and any numbers to call if problems arise.
Wasn't counting on anyone being around on Thursday, but would be silly for me to roam the streets on my own if there are off-duty Hubbers at large for me to buy drinks.

For the Thursday night, I was going to suggest the comedy night at Strathclyde Union, usually starts about 8pm (£3). I can get up to 4 in if you have photo ID.

Likewise. Jolly good. I'll put my work ID in my wallet now.
What does the photo ID prove to them? That you once had a photo taken and you have a name?

Pretty much. I've arranged to get out of work early on Saturday (9-2 instead of 9-6, with a trade-off of an extra day through the week that I can now manage since I've finished my practical work at uni). Assuming the extra day doesn't turn out to be Friday (I'll negotiate as best I can if it does) I should be about and everything should be awesome.
I'll book us two alleys at Springfield then, shall I?

Ah, brill. You guys are too good.
Actually, the train I'm booked for gets into Glasgow Central at 13.14 on Thursday 14th. That OK?
I have a mobile number of yours, Andy. (And Karl's also, though I realise he won't be around then.)

I was going to pass you the number for my mobile speaking device but as you already have it I shan't need to. I was planning to be coming in to Glasgow for about 10 - 11am on the Friday. I was going to suggest I meet up with folks somewhere in the centre of Glasgowtoun somewhere around then. Would that be suitable for folks? Karl

Nick, it's Thursday and Friday we're meeting up.
On Friday, the Kaptain could just ping one of our mobile communication devices and a squad shall assemble.

On Friday, the Kaptain could just ping one of our mobile communication parties and a squad shall assemble. -Ralph Aye, that'd probably make sense. Especially as you can never quite rely on the robot trains, especially in the winter months. I shall send a message when I depart from Planet Falkirk to let folk know my eta. Gav- I shall PM you the contact code for my mobile telephonic device..... just as soon as I remember what it is...... Karl

Nick, it's Thursday and Friday we're meeting up. I... I knew that. Martin, I should be free to meet up with Andy, Ralph and yourself on Thursday. Karl- I'm afraid I'll be in uni till 1 on Friday so I won't be making an appearance till after then. -Nick

Righto, I shall enter communications blackout and look forward to finding some of you in the Glasgow Central foyer quarter past 1-ish on Thurs.
And if that fails, seeking a phone box (if they still exist) or Internet cafe to get new instructions.
It's an inconvenience but a small price to pay for remaining mobile-phone-clean.

Hmm. For some reason I booked the bowling for 8 when there's only 7 of us. Whoops a-daisy. Oh well. We've got 2 lanes for 2 games. Should provide a couple of hours entertainment. The festivities start, against all logic, at 5.30 just as Gav is getting out of work. 6 would have been more sensible but I've just finished my project work today and I locked my keys inside my locker to celebrate so my head's all over the place.
Slightly more so than usual.

Er... yeah. Last time I was there we were booked for 2 games and we had them about two hours before the staff started giving us dirty looks. If there's only four of us on each lane we'll have plenty of time even if we don't get started till about 6. It would be poor form to start without you, and there's a bar and an arcade so we won't be stuck for stuff to do in the interim -Nick

Several of us are students or ex-students, therefore we have experience of prevaricating :-) Are we booked at the one that has Air Hockey tables too? It's been a while since I've had a go on one of those but I do remember rather enjoying it. Karl
