Howdy. Do any of those from the land of kilts fancy a meet-up next month (Feb?). I've got a couple of days off coming up - Feb 13-15th (Wednesday and Friday) and am free and clear to navigate.

The Friday would work better for me as it would mean I didn't have to work the next day (and also I as finish earlier on the Friday I would be able to rendezvous with folk sooner than I would on a Wednesday). On the other hand my holiday entitlement regenerates at the start of February so I can always see about getting a day off. I am happy to go with whenever the consensus was that our mighty conclave should take place. Karl

It sounds to me like Ralph is trying to set himself up a date for Valentine's Day.

Friday night would be best for me, but I'm not that bothered. Energon pints are welcome though

Hmmm. By chance I have that week off work and haven't decided yet how to spend it.
Would it deter anyone from coming to Cardiff at Easter if I showed my face?

Wouldn't deter us in the slightest.
Your face, and the rest of you, would be most welcome.

Spiffing. I have a few quid put by to treat myself for a couple of days in Feb., so if I can make it I'll either do it as part of a tour of various places up north, or if I can scope out some points of interest I might spend a couple of days roaming the city in question and then show up for the gathering. (I'm presuming we're talking Glasgow.)
I'll consider my options!

Man, i've been getting flak recently from the Missus about going out on Friday night and coming home in the wee hours (usually from an intense Wii-session at a friends), and i was all "Sure, the Friday nights are calming down now"... so next Friday I'm going bowling with work...and the Next Friday would be the Hub night.
She won't be pleased!

I take it we are definitely thinking of the Friday for this then? (Just so I can arrange to book the correct day off work).

So what are we going to do? I hear there's a great disco-car wash opening soon. We could go to that.

My holiday plans are starting to take shape. Every time I've been to Glasgow on the train, I've noticed going through the Lake District, specifically Oxenholme station. Now I've been to the Lake District by car many times, but never by train, so I thought I might try it - stay there for a night or two to read and walk in picturesque surroundings (say, Tuesday & Wednesday night), then stop in Glasgow for Thursday and Friday night, and finally drop in on Liverpool to visit my sister on the Saturday night on the way home. Almost sounds like a plan.
