out of curiosity (I don't know if you can disclose this by the way) what ballpark figure of people is the lowest realistic prediction and what is the highest prediction you guys have hoped for?

No that's not something I can disclose, but suffice it to say it's a topic that has been rigorously discussed. We'd love to have as many people as possible, our concern though isn't on numbers, but ensuring that whoever is there enjoys themselves over the course of the day or weekend. Andy

Full info regarding ticket booking is as follows: Transmission_Initiated TransmissionID: 000013 TFNation_2016 Operation: Ticket Sales We are pleased to confirm that tickets to TFNation 2016 will go on general sale from 12:00pm (GMT) on Friday 15th January 2016. The booking process is swift and easy: PHASE ONE - BOOKING Tickets will only be sold at www.tfnation.comThe TFNation crew has invested in a custom-built website which uses the latest booking technology and SSL certification to ensure your booking is simple, safe and secure. PHASE TWO - PAYMENT Payments will be accepted via TFNation’s ‘Paypal for Business’ platform. This means you can choose to pay with your credit or debit card, or your existing Paypal account, giving you flexibility. PHASE THREE - CONFIRMATION TFNation refuses to wait around. Confirmation emails will be sent to you the same day you book - usually within 30 minutes. You will also be able to access your booking history and tickets at any time via our website. There you can either print, or download your tickets to your smartphone to bring to the event. PHASE FOUR – HOTEL ROOMS Once you have paid for your ticket, the website will automatically give you the option to proceed to the Hilton Metropole’s reservation page. This page has been created just for TFNation ticket holders, giving you a great discount on regular hotel prices. You can reserve now and pay later, so there is no reason to wait. We will send a further transmission regarding accommodation shortly, but we do wish to stress that hotel rooms are strictly subject to availability. It is important to remember that TFNation is a first year event and therefore our bedroom quota is limited – if the convention proves to be successful, we will hopefully be able to reserve even more bedrooms in future years. Thank you for your support. We look forward to welcoming you to our new website this coming Friday! Further transmissions to follow. TFNation Where All Are One End_transmission

Oh god I am having flashbacks to regular hotel stress.
What price are the tickets, the website doesn't say (or at least I cant find that info anywhere!) I'm assuming £50ish??

Having missed out on the last few years of Auto Assembly due to illness, I am hoping to make it down to the first TFNation to make my return to Transformers convention going. It'll be odd to be doing it from the other side of the table rather than as a Mook for Toy-Fu (I know my place - I'm that one Mook who always seems to survive the explosion of his mecha to return and yet never gets lines other than "Watch out, it's a Gundam/Vajra/Zentraedi/Roundfacer!"...)
By that point this year I am likely to be looking for somewhere to hide from my Thesis deadline anyway. :-)

Matt, Tony, and Andy K- I will be sorting out your tickets for TFN along with payments for the dealer tables as I did for AA. It's the least I can do. I'll email you all about arrangements. Er... in the morning.

Transmission_Initiated TransmissionID: 000014 TFNation_2016 Operation: Hotel Discount Activating
With registration for TFNation 2016 opening at noon on Friday 15th January now is the perfect time to reveal our discounted hotel room rate and also to remind you of some features that are included within your ticket price.
What Is Included In Your Ticket Price?
Whether you buy a ticket that lasts for the full weekend, or just for the Sunday, there is plenty to see and do at TFNation. This is what your ticket entitles you to;
1. Free access to autograph sessions 2. Free access to panels and workshops 3. Free access to our dealer room 4. Buying a TFNation ticket also means you qualify to reserve a hotel room at a reduced rate (subject to availability) (access to all areas is subject to maximum room capacity, for safey reasons.) Convention Rate Hotel Rooms
The Hilton Birmingham Metropole (or as we like to call it - The Hilton Metroplex) ... has kindly offered the following discounted rates to TFNation attendees; - £59.00 Single Deluxe room, including complimentary breakfast. - £68.00 Twin / Queen room, including complimentary breakfast. Prices start from £98.00 Family room, including complimentary breakfast. (executive class rooms also available at an additional charge) All rates are nightly and all include VAT.
As a first year convention our bedroom allocation is limited, so we strongly advise you to book early to avoid disappointment. If your chosen stay appears to be unavailable, it may just mean one room type on one day is full - try different combinations of nights and room types for the best chance of securing accommodation at the event. We will be monitoring room sales closely and will be providing information about nearby alternatives, should our allocation sell out quickly.
New Website Incoming
Not only are both ticket registration and hotel bookings available from 12pm (GMT) Friday but we are also launching a brand new convention website. The new site will enable you to follow our transmissions, book tickets using our secure booking process and find out more information about our guests as well as the fantastic hotel facilities that residents will have access to.
Thank you for your support. We look forward to welcoming you to our new website this coming Friday!
Further transmissions to follow.

I may just go for the one day this year. It really depends on what the parking could be like on the sunday.

Just a question for the hotel room booking (don't post any links to the site because I'll go to the site when I get my confirm e-mail)
Like with AA room bookings how you can earn Hilton points with the booking the room. Can this also be done with TF Nation? I'm still not sure if going to stay for weekend - I know it £15 for day parking if you can get a space but might be less people on first one this year.

its £9 for day parking, they credited my Hilton points on the day last year when I paid, so yeah you will earn them im guessing

Event and hotel booked! Points off for having to type in your date of birth backwards and points off for convention rate double rooms selling out in five minutes but obviously that's on the hotel rather than the event organisers.

Major props to the TFN team for doing great work on the website and booking forms.

Well, I thought I'd booked a room - the email says it's £128 a night! That can't be right can it?
