Reprolabels can take care of that. Hmmm, it's not AM Treadshot so an easy pass. Nice crazy colours though!

I like the Universe/HFD Jazz mould. I like Armada Sideswipe. I like bonkers colour schemes. And yet I find myself unmoved. Overlord's still the winner.

After initial its not an actionmaster disappointment I have to admit this is pretty damned clever. Treadshot have a battle in a box rivalry, Overlord and Kickoff lave a Wreckers history, the Jazz mould gives us both. Using the original Armada Sideswipe colour scheme fits the SG colour swap pattern pretty well and produced an Armada homage, brilliantly using one of the best classics figures to update one of the worst Armada ones. Oh and its using a so far unused hasbro heads which is nice to see and if I dont like that I can with some mods put the club Nightbeat head on.

Oh I'm with you. It would be so much easier if they would just not put any thing on and offer sticker sets. But especially bad when its that big.

Oh I'm with you. It would be so much easier if they would just not put any thing on and offer sticker sets. But especially bad when its that big. Absolutely! I prefer it when alt-u characters do look like alt-u characters (for example, that Soundwave) rather than dual-purpose characters since then you always get some people who are disappointed. I do find it very odd when we get figures who are obviously supposed to be a certain character (AM Thundercracker, this Side-Swipe, Road Rage etc) but presented as a secondary 'repurposing' (ie their Shattered Glass counterpart) where surely most people who are interested in them are interested because of the primary character. I mean how many people wanted AM Thundercracker because he was AM Thundercracker rather than Shattered Glass Thundercracker? Much more I'd assume!

It's the logo that I don't like about the Shattered Glass Tracks, which is really Diaclone/original-box-back-battle-art Tracks.

Especially with the diaclone ones its going to be annoying because I would personally liked no emblems on at all, now the best I can do is put standard autobot emblems on.

He is actually Shattered Glass Thundercracker, who was repurposed from Action Master Thundercracker. The toy has a red Decepticon logo on it, though because it's such a gloriously loud figure it's barely noticable (but still annoying for those OCD among us)

I mostly think of it as SG because of the purple wings but I think it would have got them either way.
FP did publish the Actionmaster bio which apparently was made at he same time as the other so it really was a flip of a coin or just felt it would sell as a SG 2 pack better.
The G1 bio is pants. No way is Thundercracker ashamed of his bright colours. Though I will admit I thought the explanation of the colour change was okay.

Thunderwing mold is being used for Metalhawk and he is being done in his Pretender Shell colours. Only seen a small preview image courtesy of Full metal Hero - www.fullmetalhero.com/t5551/#post55734Not a bad idea, wonder if we have a new headsculpt. 50 per cent success rate for me. Overlord, Magnus and Metalhawk all appeal. Andy

Apparently the non-attendee packages go on sale next week. Any lingering temptation to get a box at fan club prices negated by the fact that if I did I could not afford the Feb Brum meet (not to mention the recent news about factory conditions for Chinese workers). I don't think the toys are as bad as the internet is screaming about.
But I will hunt down a headband, no matter the cost. Or die trying/!

I shall get you a headband Ralph.
I like the pretenders based on the shell. Cyclonus would have made a great inner robot Metal Hawk, but I think most customs have more than just a new head to make it work.

I can't believe I will own three versions of the Thunderwing mold. I do like, even at that tiny picture size Metalhawk.

We can but hope. But if they are doing the shell colour schemes as robots - some poor bastard is getting a flesh coloured torso as Stranglehold.

I can't conceive of how the robot mode will look! That said I've liked the rest of the figures this year, generally, so I have high hopes!

The only way this Octopunch head would work is if it is the monster head but with an additional deep sea diver helmet as an accessory to go over the top. Doing the helmet as the main head will look too small. (Also needs tentacles on his arms!)
