Mr Bluehift sir, what's the difference between Rock Lords marked Bandai Japan and Bandai Macau? I've opened up Boulder, and after marveling at the tightness of the joints, I've realised his plastic quality isn't quite as solid as the other Boulder I have, which is marked Macau. This one is marked Japan. I remember you pointing out the matt and gloss finishes on different Tombstones at TFN - is one source noted to be better than the other? This is a work in progress but should answer all your questions! www.rocklords.co.uk/p/tonka-us-bandai-euro-bandai-japan.htmlI prefer the Japan marked Boulder, as the extra white swirls are nice

Oh my word! A variant list! I must catalogue my rocks immediately!
Blueshift truly is the bringer of joy. Now I understand why my Brimstones have different coloured pants. Today is a good day after all!

Today is a good day after all! The brass paint seems to be thinner, as you see a lot of very good condition gold crotches but hardly any brass ones that are un-scraped

That is exactly the case with my Brimstones; the brass paint is in much worse condition.
The differences may be slight, but I can now identify the origin of my rocks! I find this kind of thing very exciting.

He is out! My word he's much more fun than he looks in pictures. What a load of springy limbs he has! this is so ahead of the game for smaller figures like this, the rock pulls tight together because the springs pull his limbs in. I really love the fracture marks on his back, looks like someone's tried to knap him! The only problem here is that he can't hold his weapon in any meaningful way, but that's series one evil rocks complete!

I have run out of sealed rock lords. They are something of a rarity really. I shall return to opening titans as they return.
But. I need more rocks. This is Blueshift's fault. I will not rest until I have at least all the basics. I need a Nuggit. These are great toys. I must photograph them at the weekend to prove I have opened them.

I tried to identify the origins of my rocks. I discovered none of the first wave basics have stamps on them, so I'm winging it using blue's guide. Macau has never featured in my life before.

... Flummox a Vegan Snow Lizard... That's a bit mad. Are all the wave two ones that expensive?

If there's a couple of people who really want it and it's at open auction, then yes. If another one popped up, it probably wouldn't go that high as Nic now has it and wouldn't be bidding on it.

I was just thinking that the niche for these must be so small that surely someone here would know who was buying that...
There you go!

I know at least one other collector with about the same size collection who is lacking that guy. Meanwhile I'm lacking the bat!

Yeah, I think that leaves Nic at a couple of Shock Rocks to get the whole line including variants. And then a few more carded/boxed to really finish it off...

It was the other combiner to Puzzler.
In Japan, his name was DEVIL SATAN SIX!

The most recent TFYLP had a quick diversion into Rock Lords while the cast were talking about recent purchases, but there was a name check for @rocklordsrock at the end of it! (video will play from the right point)
