Liked the explanation for how they got into the Functionalist Universe
Is that REALLY Rung's alt mode or are the Functionalists faking it?

They're absolutely faking it. We've seen Rung's alt-mode before, it wouldn't change between universes. Not when there's so much of a thing been built up around what it actually is.

As Andu pointed out by test to me, For Thunderclash to be up & about it needs to be post MTMTE 47, but by which point Getaway is already incapacitated in the slammer.
I'd like to suggest Getaway's narration can't be trusted and that quite possibly he's hallucinating his unseen confidant.

Either that or we're being thrown off the scent...... Perhaps it isn't Thunderclash, etc who are in the memory loop coma but Getaway is the one trapped in a false memory loop?
Also, who is the psychologist Getaway is talking to as Rung is with Rodimus & co right? |

If Rung is the psychologist, and given what Getaway says about editing the loop in #10, perhaps the whole thing takes place after the Lost Light has been recovered, and what we're seeing is a meta-memory loop that Getaway is trapped in, only he thinks that he's the one who has imprisoned others in a memory loop. |

I don't think it's Atomiser as he's previously had interactions with other cast members such as Rodimus for him to be a hallucination.

We have seen exactly two psychiatrists on the Lost Light as far as I know. Was it stated on-panel that Froid had died? Characters in this series have survived worse...

I'm even further behind that, I get my comic knowledge for transformers solely through the IDW Collections and usually for birthday and Christmas presents. since its been almost 6 months since my birthday I'm even further behind!

Ouch! So you're still on Dark Cybertron?
I hope there's a Lost Light HC collection at some point. The Phase 2 collections make it easy to keep up to date with the ongoing IDW series and is great for crossovers, but it's unsatisfactory if you want to binge-read the Lost Light or RID series in one sitting.

Just thinking about this, but {Spoiler}Given what Froid says about Getaway being as a case study - I still stand by my earlier comment that maybe it is Getaway who is actually stuck in a memory loop. |

Interesting theory. {Spoiler}I don't think it's the case though, simply because the element that kicks off the loop we've already seen is the return of the Protectobots to the ship.
It will be interesting to see what happens when Rodimus and co return to the ship. The atmosphere then will be very interesting. |
