So #25 might be the last issue. So I expect all IDW writers teams have had the meetings for setting out the relaunch if they have everything plotted out 6 months in advance - if its a full Hasbro Universe relaunch or keeping Transformers on their own? But would it be 2 titles or one title but rotating arcs?

Ten: Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Tyrest build the Legislators from existing Transformers? So was Ten someone else before he was rebuilt as Ten? And what caused him to wake up last issue? |

I've kind of been expecting an announcement of this kind at some point for a while now. There has been a sense in what James has said at conventions of MTME/Lost Light being very much a finite story, and I detected an undercurrent in that of it being the big Transformers story that James wanted to tell. Since he started talking about being nearer the end than the middle I've kind of been expecting this.
Do I think he will never be back to something Transformers related? Don't know, but I'm not surprised that he might want time away from it after what is - frankly - quite a feat of long-form storytelling in a nominally serial form.
I'm pleased that he is having the opportunity to tell is story through to its planned ending. I like a story with a beginning, middle and an end.

So Issue 18 is out today. {Spoiler}The quest is over...sort of. We find out what Cyberutopia was. Simultaneously bleak and uplifting.
Nightbeat joins the ranks of the allegedly dead.
This does seem to be a little too neat and tidy so I expect a further wrinkle to be added. After all Ten's mysterious upgrade in intelligence needs to be addressed. |

It was great to see E.J. Su back on a Transformers title.
He was a good fit as a fill-in/guest artist for LL.
I'm still not sure how this book will end, even at this late stage, which is something I like. I was a bit concerned in the race to wrap things up we would have a very neat solution and one that would be pretty easy to see.
