Love the way the box art looks absolutely nothing like the DOTM toy in the box...

Oh. Wow. He's tiny. I didn't realise he was that small.

Small? He's bigger than Sideswipe, and Sideswipe is almost ridiculously huge

Well that's the most generic looking exclusive. The tire is a bit mad though!

Close comparison to the retail shows this has a much nicer deco, which is a bit worrying given the retail version is supposed to be a swish 'premier'. I could be tempted by this.

$50 for a VOYAGER! That's a load of - oooo, a fragment of tire. That's like chucking in a thread from the Turin shroud with a bottle of holy water.

Who *doesn't* want a small piece of Prime's rubber that they can hold and sniff and call their own and- No? Just me? Okay.

Having that. Although the wing texture does look a bit crinkled tin foil.

Looks more fiberglass than crumpled foil, to me.

You expect continuity from the live-action Transformers films? They laugh in the face of such a notion!

See also: Megatron most likely being active in events that took place when he was frozen beneath the ice. Probably. I have no idea what to expect.
But anyway. I do like the look of the Allspark Tech figures. Well. I mean they're simplistic and all. But the gimmick looks naff enough that it could be fun.

I'm hoping that Takara's advertising department are paying attention:

Picked up Grimlock.
I remember now why I took a hard pass on it when it was released in AoE, despite it looking way better than the leader. It's an utterly HORRIBLE toy! -Terrible engineering (NOTHING pegs together) -awful action gimmick (springloaded mouth that's permanently open) -bad transformation (he practically has no tail) -stupid weapon (the one dinobot who's iconic weapon is a sword, gets a weird badly designed mace club thing in a world WHERE DINOBOTS EQUATE TO KNIGHTS) -inverted elbows (always an absolute dealbreaker, had I remembered this one had them) -can't even hold his weird weapon because of inverted elbows.

Riddle me this, chaps. Why is the TLK reissue of the AoE Leader Prime we're getting said to be 23 cm, when the Takara Calibur TLK remould AoE Prime is 30cm? was the original First Edition AoE Leader Prime bigger than the one that followed and the Calibur version is remoulded from the First Edition one?
It looks amazing, but there's no point having that with the new Leader Megs if he's 7cm taller than him.
